Would you visit an island which wasn't decorated at all but had beautiful houses?

Genuine question
I'm actually debating creating a fairly natural island (just paths and flowers) which has 8 fully decorated human houses as it's main attraction.
I just enjoy decorating the indoor spaces so much more than outdoor, I don't like how furniture looks outside and it's just not fun to me without being able to put stuff on the walls or add floorings and rugs
I like my natural look outdoors too.
I keep thinking I need to decorate my island because that's what everyone else is doing but I already have 10 more house ideas and 0 outdoor ideas lol

I would!! Like it is nice to see things outside but it "bugs me" when it is raining and I see a bookshelf of books just hanging out there lol.
(no one bash me, I do have an "outdoor" library area on my island too). Plus having alot of stuff inside actual buildings I am sure would help with the lag issue I find on many islands while visiting.
When my one year of playing is up I was actually considering having a few human buildings on my island reset for decorating to cut down on outside stuff and make it feel more like a town.

I definitely would. My town doesn’t have many decorations outdoors either. I’m a fan of the more natural look as well. Minimal items and a basic path is all I have. My favorite part of seeing someone’s island is checking out the houses anyways. I can’t wait for more furniture sets so we have more options.

Yeah, I would. Sounds much better than islands so cluttered I can't take two steps anywhere.

But the one who's going to visit your island the most is you, so it really doesn't matter what other people like. It's your place, do what's the most fun for you.

I would definitely love to visit. It sounds fabulous 😊 I honestly find it more difficult to decorate houses so would love that inspiration.

If you ever open for visiting I would love to come 😊

I enjoy seeing how people decorate their homes just as much as their island, so definitely! You may find more inspiration for your outdoor spaces once you've completed your indoor ones too.

Plus it'd be interesting to 'flip the script' and do home interiors first. I often see a completed island and unfinished houses, which is my status right now. 🙃

I would love to see your island when your done. You don’t have to decorate the outside if you don’t want to. I have a hard time with decorating inside so it’s nice to see what others have done. My island is somewhat decorated. It is more natural with flowers, fences, paths . It is a little more decorated at the moment when Halloween decorations.

Awwwww thanks so much guys :D I’m so happy with the responses! I’ll definitely just keep on working on those houses! I love them
Yeah I’d just... I’d get an idea for the outdoors and then I’d think of wall hanging furniture that goes great with it, and a carpet, and a rug, and voilà I’ve got a second character 😂
My first house is fully furnished and I couldn’t be happier with it, and now I’m brimming with ideas for the second. It would be really fun to see if I can furnish all 8!

I would absolutely visit. I’m not the best at indoor decorating so I would definitely appreciate seeing fully decorated houses. It would be inspiring and refreshing as my house is in a perpetual state of disarray lol.

I would definitely visit, on the condition that the houses are 'easy' to explore. I'm not the best when it comes to navigating through games, so I dislike having to squeeze my way between furniture, just so I can visit all rooms. That's what usually keeps me back from visiting homes and enjoying it.

But that's how I am about outsides on islands as well. I like my paths at least two tiles wide so I can run without bumping into things.

I would definitely visit! it's always nice to see unique ideas being implemented on islands, since I've seen a lot of the same themes recently c':

I wouldn't, as I've seen all the (very limited) items and furniture, so basically I'd be looking at the same old thing's, in a different color, arranged differently.

I think this is such a fun idea!! I love all of the islands that have a ton of outdoor decorating because they take so much time and dedication and I can really appreciate that but I love decorating the inside of my house way more!! it would be so cool to wander around a little village and see all the different themed houses :)

I would! I'm planning on doing a foresty/rustic island, so I already know I won't be able to have tons of stuff outside and that's okay. I think it's nice to have a variety of islands... some with all sorts of things and attractions and ones with less. That's what makes this game so neat. You can see it all!

Yes. A lot of islands I've seen pictures of on social media I don't like because they're over-decorated and feel like "tourist traps." I try to stay true to the "deserted resort island" theme so I put a minimal amount of outdoor decorations.

i would! i love seeing what people have done with their houses and that’s usually the first place i go when visiting someone’s dream address! despite wanting the dream suite to come back for so long, i haven’t used much of it as while the islands that have furniture covering every inch and insane terraforming are gorgeous, they’re a bit overwhelming for me to try and navigate through by myself and so, i can definitely see myself giving yours a visit c’:

I would definitely check it out. Could look similar to the older games where outside furniture was far less of a thing (or completely nonexistent before New Leaf/E+).

I think this sounds like a fun idea. Also gives a bit of a Happy Homes Showcase sort of vibe! You could even arrange all the houses near each other to be super showcase-y (if that's what you are in to) or have the houses grouped together by different house themes? There are lots of possibilities for how you could set it up really. I think this could make for a really fun island to visit ☺

Of course I would!! I love checking out other people's houses and having something to get inspiration from.

I definitely would take the time to check it out. I’m not the best decorator and have a lack of inspiration constantly, so this would be beneficial for someone like me who needs ideas. Plus I tend to gravitate more towards natural islands than crowded and/or over decorated islands.
