Would you ever reset?

Personally, becuase of the hundreds and hundreds of hours put in making my town, as well as trying to get money to get the dreamies I want, i can easily say no, never. At least, not until i am COMPLETELY bored of the game lol I figure that the game is never ending, thus why end it? There is sooo much to do in animal crossing, that resetting it would be just a waste of time for me. I would die if I ever reset lol

The only way i would reset was if I had a second copy of the game :3 That way, I can get the dreamies I want as well as have a second game to hold things as a storage. Wasteful? Not really, not in my eyes. I feel I could just use all that room to make more fun characters and then help keep whatever items I have left over, in there :3

I highly doubt it. I'm a bit of a completionist, so if I ever do manage to finish my town, there's a 99.99% chance that I'll just keep it that way forever.

And If I really do have a bad urge to start over, I'll just consider finding another cheap copy of the game.

I think resetting can for some people develop into a bad habit. I've experienced it, and it only resulted in me becoming more particular and more frustrated.

Plenty of others reset without the above problem though, so I think it's about knowing yourself when deciding whether or not to reset.

I did reset. As Unidentified Floor Orange said, I did get kinda addicted to it... XD

In the end, it was worth it, though. I finally found my perfect map. I did at first want to reset, but at those times I just took a break, and now I've finally settled down and am completely enjoying my town. :3

i've thought about it for the past couple weeks because I don't really like the layout of my town sometimes, but i think there are loads of ways i can make my town good enough for my tastes and i've put so much work into saving bells/public works projects/gardening and stuff that it's just not worth it.

maybe after i get bored of the game and stop playing for a while, i'll come back to it and restart

No, I'd never reset. I have spent too long on this town to go back and I really love my town map. I love love love it.

It took me a while to get the town I currently have, but it is my first and ONLY town. Not only does it has the perfect layout, I'm beginning to get the perfect villagers. <3 I will NEVER reset my town. Ever.

I don't think I'll ever reset my main town. I'm way too attached to it. ^^;

As for my second town, I reset whenever I get tired of it.

This is what I would do too. If it gets to the point where I've stopped playing the game for a few months and want to get back into it again, I would probably just reset it. But for right now, I wouldn't. I've put so many hours into it and even though I don't have the perfect map, I'm still happy enough to keep the town as is.

I definitely would not reset. I'd rather get a second or third game cartridge than reset because I'm attatched to my town ;-;

Yes, I would. In previous games I have been a serial resetter. It's a problem. I'll hold on to this one for a while but eventually I will reset, I know it.

I disliked my original town layout. It was little things that I hated, but I couldn't bear to reset due to the hours I spent. I managed to get a second copy free and ended up getting a perfect town layout and started a horror town project. I ended up transferring all of my items from my old town to my new one and haven't been on my old one since! If you've got something bugging you, then restart - that bug never really goes away.

I had to reset unfortunately, because of corrupted data. The feeling when you first realise what you've done and how you have to start all over again is horrible. E.g: recollect all the museum items, rebuild your house, find your new villagers is horrible. But in the long-run for me it was worth it- This time i drew out on some paper a map of how I wanted my town to look and what villagers I wanted and my town is better than the town I spent two months working to achieve, even though I've only spent one week on this town.
