I'm almost done landscaping my town (just started to finish the upper left of my town, which I hope to finish this weekend), but I could still use some advice on the rest of my town :) If I could get some general reviews of my town I'd be very grateful, and if I could also get some opinions on the following:

- is my orchard too bland? Should I add a mini garden of sorts to each side?

- is the area in front of Henry's town too crowded? If so, how can I change it?

- any other opinions/specific suggestions are VERY welcome!

Also, I haven't even really touched any of my houses, but I will get to them some time :) Thanks in advance! And if anyone would like me to take a look at their dream town as well I'd be happy to, seeing as I might need the inspiration!

Hello! :D

Firstly, I really like the layout of your town! The brick and natural paths you've used here work very nicely together, and the placement of your trees and bushes feels very structured. The spacing of your PWP's are also really well placed, the picnic area and giant shoe were really fun! I'm guessing that's a fantasy PWP? Not sure, sorry, I'm still new to the game! XD; I will say the area around the lighthouse seems a bit closed off, but aside from that, I really like your landscaping. There are a few areas where the paths don't always connect though, and I wonder if that was intentional. I really like your campsite area though, to me, it felt like a real spacious area far away from the 'city', I usually see a lot of campsites (including my own) rather close to other houses, so I really liked your placement a lot!

The only real aspect of your town that I might suggest is allowing for more empty spaces, or rearranging bushes and trees, because there are a few areas that are a bit tight to move in, mainly to the left of your train station. I think it's a beautiful town though, you've obviously worked very hard on it and it shows! If you'd like to visit my town in return, you don't have to of course, I'd love to hear any feedback as well! :)

Alright, I'm checking it out! Here are some thoughts, as I walk through town:
1. To the right of town square, there's a grey brick and clover path to the white bench. I think it would be better to find a new path to intermingle that looks red brick, and carry it along around the bench itself. Gorgeous little closed-off spot! Perhaps even change it to a 1 square path, and use the dirt path by the police station?
2. By Dusty's house, why isn't the path continued? Even if it's just the dirt, I think there needs to be something going all the way to it.
3. Right in front of the police station is waaaaaaaay too cramped. Cut out that pine tree (you know the one) and your problem is solved!
4. Put some pathways to/by the bus shelter! Very cute area.
5. Why no pathways to the villagers' houses? Behind Roald's house there's a path, and then it stops. What's going on there?
6. I think the orchard is good, and I like that entire branch of your town very much! However, I think you make the orchard very boring by planting the trees in rows by fruit. I say mix them up!
7. Dirt path to the picnic site, man. It's the perfect place for a small 1x1 path with clovers!
8. I think you should cut the tree between the jungle gym and the bench with the sandbox, and maybe move the sandbox a few spaces over. You have a very strange habit of shoving trees between sets.
9. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS BOOT??????????? THAT'S A PWP????????????????????????? THIS IS LITERALLY THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO SUGGESTS THIS???? IT'S A BENCH TOO??????????? THIS IS INCREDIBLE
10. I think that the flowers and tree right in front of Henry's house make it a bit too crowded. Perhaps even take out a bush?
11. I am desperately in love with your campsite area! I think you should perhaps make things a bit more close together, and add in more trees. It seems tree-barren compared to the rest of your town, which is overflowing with trees! Maybe make a wall of trees, to make the space cozier. And, once again, I do think it could benefit from a 1x1 path with clovers! Not all over the place, but maybe here and there.

I hope my suggestions were helpful! I'm sorry if it's not what you wanted, or anything. I'm also sorry if it's too thorough. I don't consider myself a town expert or anything, this is just what I think! Your town is super cute, and even if you don't change anything, it's absolutely rad.

Your town is so beautiful, I love it ;_; I would almost recommend not changing too much, it's so great as it is~

I don't think the area in front of Henry's house is crowded. I think the colorful roses, wisteria trellis, bushes, clovers, and stepping stones all come together really well. However, my taste in landscaping does usually involve many many flowers, hehe, so I'm biased!
The orchard isn't bland as it is, but maybe some more flowers wouldn't hurt if you want to try that! (It might not be practical, though, if the orchard serves practical purposes as well as aesthetic purposes!) My advice on the orchard is actually about the path...I think there might be a better path for your orchard out there somewhere, one that looks like a dirt path but that is two spaces wide. Because I think this path is meant to be a one-space dirt path, but the way it's laid out in two lanes looks a tad strange (to me).
Wonderful town though! :)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely try to make some spaces seem more open (my playground, Henry's house, etc) and I'll visit your DA tonight!

Ty SO much for the feedback, it's very constructive and encouraging! I'll make some spaces more open and connect some of the paths and points of interest more :) Also, I'd love to add more trees to the campsite, but I'm just afraid I'll make ot too crowded, but that's nothing I can't get pas with some problem solving :)

Ty sm! I know what you mean with the path; I'm not a huge fan of it, but I haven't found a good dirt path yet :/ I'll keep looking though, or maybe create my own :) and the orchard doesn't really serve a practical purpose, so I'll disperse some flowers in between trees and maybe follow Fantasy's advice and plant them not in rows but more in criss-cross patterns or something :)

Also the Chair Sculpture pwp is suggested by smug villagers :)

Ok, for Fawful (Sorry it took so long, I fell asleep right after I posted last night):

I really like the openness of your town! I am very jealous of the many large acres of land too :) It's structured in that the paths lead to everywhere on the map and you never get lost! You're paths are very cute as well, paeicularly the blue tile path above Mimi's house! And, the points of interest you do have are BEAUTIFUL, like the one mentioned above with the fountain above Mimi's house and the one to the right of Town Hall. The only suggestions I would make would be to connect your paths together, add a couple points of interest on the lower part of your map, and maybe add a few more trees or bushes (I'm a little biased since I LOVE trees and bushes, but they do help) along paths or dispersed over a garden. Loved your town and would visit again :)

I don't think your orchard needs much else to look nicer, but if you don't shake the trees often I would advise putting a path going in between the trees for fun or planting nice flowers around the trees that color coordinate well together. I like the entrance to Henry's house, but you might want to make a second way of getting to his house other than going all the way around. I don't like having to walk on flowers to get to places, but that's just me. At the time I just walking up to his house I was at the town hall. The clovers were nice touches and I love ALL, yes, ALL, of your pwp locations. I especially like the playground by the river. It's a bit hidden so you might want to cut some trees to make it more view able from outside unless you want it to seem reclusive. You might also want to make paths to some of the villagers houses as I noticed some didn't have any.

That about wraps up my constructive cristicism. I've seen this town map a lot, but I think yours has to be my favorite. A lot of the time there is so much space people don't know what to do with it and just put flowers beyond the eyes can see, but you put work into the layout of your trees and your paths are enjoyable to walk through.

No problem! It really was a pleasure to walk through your town. I look forward to seeing it in the future!!

I visited, and I've got to say... you have such a wonderful town! I love what you did with the bushes and trees. They look very strategically placed and it's lovely how you tie in all the pines with holly!

The stepping stone/four leaf clover paths are very cute.

The orchard is nice! i think it is organized nicely. The paths are cute and I think they're perfect where they are. It does seem less colorful compared to the other areas of your town, if that's something that may help.

Henry's house looks especially colorful and happy. I love the variety of flowers there.

It seems a bit empty near the bench next to the lighthouse... Perhaps more flowers there?

I really liked your town! It looks incredible.

The only thing I'd recommend is organizing your flowers someway. Other than that, it is a beautiful town and one of the best ones I've been to! I especially love the layout of the bushes and trees. :)

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I'm working on addressing all this now, but does anyone have any suggestions for paths that lead to my villagers house? Would a 1-tile wide stone and clover path be fine, or should I find/make a new path? I've implemented the stone and clover paths to a villager house and it looks ok, but I can't say myself whether or not it's out of place.

Oh, and I completely forgot about my beach. I do plan to give away my excess hybrids once I find I don't need them anymore, and I plan to add a path along it lined sparsely with banana and coconut trees :)
