Special villagers..... they can be really helpful, or just plain annoying... which one is your LEAST favorite?

For me, its that dumb bird and his relative... they ALWAYS appear at least once every week and its DRIVING. ME. INSANE!!! I just want flick or cj cause im broke and need to pay for my basement :(

I wouldn't call him directly the worst, but I'm not a huge fan of Wisp. He rarely shows up on my island and when he do, then it's a painfully waste of time to catch his spirits, especially if some of them floating around forever over a river. The reward you get afterwards isn't even worth the time you spent here to help him out, like if you get at least some Wisp exclusive stuff, then it would be totally worth it. He might be an adorable guy, but I mainly ignoring him now.

I also don't care that much for C.J and Flick. Again, they are not the worst, they are just not my favorites.

hm,, i think my least favourite is either wisp or cj. wisp’s cute and i like him as an npc but now that my furniture and wallpaper/flooring catalogs are complete and he doesn’t give me clothing very often, he’s a bit useless to me now. i need to help him one more time for the nook mile achievement but after that, i think i’ll be done with him aha.

as for cj, my main issue with him is his personality; i find him a bit annoying and i don’t really like the fact that i have to complete one of his challenges before i can sell anything to him >_<. but now that most of the valuable fishes aren’t available anymore, i don’t really have to deal with him now, either, which is fine by me ;w;

Wisp... I spent about 30 minutes last night running around my island for the last spirit piece only to get a cheap wallpaper I could have bought at Nooks. I usually avoid him tbh.

Echoing Wisp also. I've started two islands pretty recently (one in September, one in October) and find him pretty useless even in the early stages. At least Flick and CJ give models and much-needed bells as a "new" island, but I can't remember when I last found Wisp useful.

Same with Label, I suppose. I'll give her a little bit of credit just because I love her backstory.

By the way, the appearance rate of these "visitors" increases if they didn't show up that week. Unfortunately, you will see them both at some point. (By the way, some of Gulliver's furnitures such as the pagoda are worth a lot of Bells.)

Anyway, my criteria for voting for the "worst visitor" is not not about functionality or usefulness his time. (Because I can obviously see who's going to win at this point.) Let me touch the design aspect instead. With that being said, I don't find Saharah appealing to me. Some part of me tells me that he is a "she." Why does he have those thick eyelashes? They are creepy. Unlike Label and K.K., they didn't explain much of his backstory. So I can't totally relate his visit to my island. (I know that he's a travelling merchant like Redd. But Redd got an intro but not him.)

I know that the appearance rate of villagers depend on who appeared on your island ( if, for example, gulliver appears this week, the chances of getting him next week might be low) but for some reason, he STILL commonly appears, even after he appeared last week!!!

And the fact that he has another variant (gullivarr) just DOUBLES his spawn... (is the appearance rate affected by time travel???)

Is...is Saharah not a "she"? Every resource site I've looked at refers to Saharah as a "she"?

The game sees both versions of Gulliver as separate visitors. That's why the odds of getting him is quite high as compared to others. I don't time travel. So I have no clue if this affects the spawn rate of these visitors.

Apparently, the game labels Saharah as a "he" for some reason. I will get back to you with a source later.

In the Japanese version it's a male, like Blanca.

But in the Western versions they are both females

Oh wow that's so interesting, thank you for clarifying! I guess I'll continue referring to Saharah as a "she," but that seems like such a weird difference.

Thanks for clarifying! I was trying to dig up an old thread here but can't seem to find it.

Anyway, my perception of Saharah is a "he" due to his attire. But then again, he has those thick eyelashes.

Oof.... now ill have to deal with TWO birds washing up on my shore... (and there are only 5 days to get special villagers, so I have to HOPE I get good special villagers😣)

I always roll my eyes whenever I see CJ. In my eyes he is totally pointless, I don't like his challenges and his whole personality type annoys the heck out of me. Additionally I don't need the money so selling fish to him isn't really helpful?

I get annoyed when I see CJ or Flick on the island, because I have no need for their services. I get even more annoyed when I see CJ because of his annoying personality.

cj because he's ugly ):
ok he has some functionslity with the fish models so uhh i guess label, sye is useless to me and i always ignore her when i see her, but at least she's cute

For me, it's a tie between Leif and Label. Leif is almost entirely useless to me at this point in the game, he really needs to be moved into Nook's Cranny. Label's challenges are becoming boring chores now and her "rewards" are mostly useless if you're male ...

Definitely KK freaking slider.

He takes too much space outside of residence services, you can't gift villager who are sitting down which is annoying, and if you've ever tried the 15 day TT in order to kick out a villager, the plan won't work if the day coincides w/ a saturday.

If his 'concert' starts at 6 PM, I don't understand why he has to stay there all day. Totally pointless.
