Working on my perfect town &lt;3

I finally had the money together to buy a download version of New Leaf like I wanted. I love my village on my physical copy because well it's my first and save Katerina's store I've got everything unlocked <3

I chose to get a download copy and use that one to try and make a perfect town like people do here. Wanting to make it special to me I named the town Sandrock and currently it contains the following Villagers:

Lolly the cat. Immediately stopped refreshing towns when I realized she lived in it. <3
Tabby Cat. Gets to stay.
Rowan tiger. Not staying.
Clyde horse. Definitely not staying.
Amelia eagle. -shudders- seriously not staying.
Rizzo Mouse. Staying fornow

The villagers I'd like to have move in include: Kabuki, Rosie, Stinkie, Ahnka, Carlisle, Maple, Poncho, Jay, Lopez, Molly, Tia, Eloise, Lily, Hamlet, Ozzie, Aurora, Kevin, Snake, Agent S, Whitney.

Of course that's way more than can move in so my absolute must haves are: Snake, Molly, Daisy, Ahnka, Hamlet and Tia.

I've already tried to set up an orchard of sorts, but 2 trees died and I will have to wait for the fruits because I forgot to note down the order in which I planted those fruits ^^;

I'm still trying to get the hang of this villager reset thing though so I'm focusing on that first.

I'm trying hard. Advice is always welcome since I only got the game last december and until last month hadn't really known much about how to make it perfect (like influencing where people plop down their house >> )

Congrats! Are you planning to TT? (or is that what you mean by villager reset haha)


I was only vaguely aware of the super micro-managing way to play AC before I was given a copy of ACNL in November. I like playing it this way but by TTing too far I`ve ruined some things for myself I feel haha ;_; so my advice would be just to take it slow! But you do have two copies so you should be fine.

I'm not sure what TT means, but villager reset is where you log in with a new account and before talking to nook or isabel you go around and find out where the new villager had dropped their little wire for their new house down at and then if you don't like where it is you turn off the 3ds without saving and reboot it until you like where the house is and have the villager you want to have there.

I got 2 copies because I didn't want to reset my first town. I put a lot of work into it so I thought why not get another copy that I can reset whenever I want <3 That way I can stumble and make mistakes and not have to worry about losing precious items <3

Before I knew you could affect where they move I was just waiting for my town to be full so I could put stuff where I want it without worry for new movers.

TT means Time Travelling. Or if you don't know how that works, you change the time in your 3DS'S clock either _ days forward or _blank days backward(You can time travel backward for as far as you want and still have the same villagers,as the clock in ACNL does not count backward,it will still be 1 day forward.) Eg. It is the year 2014,you TT to the year 2009,but nothing changes. Because it only counts as 1 day forward.So if you are looking forward to kicking out a villager ASAP, you can trust the TT method well. Just becareful,you might lose some wanted villagers by doing this. So I advise to talk to all your villagers before TTing to the next day.

Ohhh no I know how to time travel. I just heard it's not good for your 3ds and can break your pedometer and coin count stuff. I try not to use time travel unless necessary. I usually talk before after and when I return to proper time to all the animals I want to keep. I find that wacking them over the head with my net makes them move faster though :3

I do :3 I know which animals I want and what I want to do with the houses. Only problem is that I'm not the most patient so getting 2 houses fully upgraded and one semi upgraded will take time and many many trips to the island. Although now I have 2 games and can visit the island with 2 characters It does go a little better, but still takes as much time as 2 trips with 1 character ^^;

Getting the Gracy items will be hardest since they're sale items sadly so I'll need to pray for the best or hope for cataloguing. I'm for now focusing on getting all the villagers I want in and taking trips to the island to fill my bank account with millions for the upgrades.

I want the rooms of the houses to tell the stories of these 4 people and have like the outside add to the admosphere of their story

I'm working toward each of the rooms displaying some aspect of their life/story and having the bedroom be their personality room of sorts with the basement being where all is hidden. I'm hoping to get my hands on that costumizable painting type thing that the creator of the Aika village had. That'd help a bunches.

I freaking give up already... no matter what I do this game just cheats me. Every time I log in and make a new character and search the town just like the trick says to do and there's no plot present not even after doing this 3 times just to be 100% certain! I then log out without saving and log in with my main account and BOOM animals has moved into my town and fenced off an area!

I just want to scream because now Hans is stuck in my town and I can only rid of him by refreshing but then I lose lolly! I'm going back to just letting them come as they do and whacking them over the head till they damn well get sick of me and get the heck out of my town! GHA I'm so bloody frustrated right now! This is the third time I'd have to reset my game because the stupid village plot reset trick fails to do as promised and villagers move in even when no plots were there the three times I tried with a new account!!

After some back and forth traveling between my two towns Fraggin puddles moved into my perfect town X_x I wanna scream now...it took me forever to get her out last time and I'm still trying to get rid of Rodeo the creepy zombie bull X_x

When I get him to say he's gonna get out of town I'll let you know by pm. I'll be glad to have him go to someone else X_x -shudders- don't want him in my other town when I finally boot him out.

Am still rather put out that the placement reset trick thing don't work anymore for me....it keeps giving me no villagers if I make a new account and then giving a new villager when I log in with my mayor. It's like the bloody game is trolling me!
