Wondering if I can cut bamboo

I've read everything I could find about bamboo but it doesn't say if it can be cut and the 4 stems left in the ground to make it look more tidy. I'm sure I've seen it in other people's town but I'm doubting myself.

Yes it can be cut into 4 neat stems as i used to have bamboo ~

You can cut bamboo. Once you do so, though, they won't disperse any seeds anymore.

you can cut them at any growth stage - after 1 day of growth, or after 2 days or 3 days. After 3 days, they become fully grown.
