Hey guys. ~
I caved in yesterday and ordered another copy of NL, and instead of doing another cutesy pastel theme, I decided to do a more forest type theme, with witchy vibes to it. I've looked up some inspiration, but haven't had much luck with finding something I want. So I figured I'd ask for some ideas/opinions here, along with inspiration from others if they also have a town similar to this.

I'm looking for;
Town name
Nice pwps
Fitting villagers
Natural stone qrs / ideas
Landscaping ideas
House design help
Etc etc.

I want it to be very forest-y and it overgrown. I'm thinking of doing an orange, black, and white color scheme with the flowers as well.

As said, any ideas will be looked into and appreciated, since I still am pretty lost.
Thank you. ~

Love the idea of this as a theme :) love anything related to Halloween type things though. Not much good with town names but a few just thought of and a few of my own ideas from a town I wanted to do -
bewitch
enchant
hallows
hoodoo
magic
tarot
voodoo
I had some of those as options when I was considering starting a Halloween type of town.
I would go with all zen exterior items for your house and put a mushroom garden somewhere near. You could include furniture sets such as spooky, creepy, rococo, mushroom, gorgeous?
As for villagers, I guess Kiki would be the obvious choice. Lobo and Avery could also fit in well, Lobo has throse bright yellow eyes after all :) Julian? Being a magical unicorn might work. Cherry could fit in well too :)

Oh I forgot to mention pwps. Definitely include a stone tablet somewhere, maybe you could put it in the middle of an open area and surround it with mushrooms? Stonehenge would work, as would the zen bell and clock. Would have a well in there somewhere, every witch town needs a well ;) maybe that could go by your house?

For PWPs I suggest the stone tablet, water well, the torch, stone henge, the scarecrow, the statue fountain and the wisteria trellis. Have rooms with a combo of furniture from the Creepy set and the Gorgeous set - I always found the predominantly red colour scheme a little unsettling? Oh, and cow skulls everywhere. And dead perfect fruit trees.

As for villagers? Definitely Coco. Without a doubt.

Hypno K.K. needs to be playing in every room tbh. And the music box version of K.K. Dirge is creepy as hell.

Oh I completely forgot about Coco! Doh...she would obviously be perfect. Her and Kiki were made for those kinds of towns :) maybe you could also do a scary orchard. It could have a missy path leading through it and at the end it could have that poster/sign pwp with creepy writing on it or something. Getting carried away with it and it's not even my town :)

Ahh tysm both of you!

This actually helped a lot because I had no idea on what to do haha.
Will have to look into the music box idea. ~

And get as carried away as you want, Link! I enjoy your enthusiasm while you help me! Will have to discuss more ideas with you soon. ~

I'm debating on a dirt path, but at the same time I want to do a stone type path so it adds to it.
Will have to pick up Coco as well for sure. I was also thinking Lucky and Muffy, as they are also fitting with the vibe. (:

"Getting carried away with it and it's not even my town" Haha! You and me both Link :)

Oh nice! Lucky and Muffy would be perfect too. And yeah I'm all for the dirt path + stone paths combo, like have dirt paths running through your foresty areas, and stone paths around some PWP? You could also create a cemetery area with a few stone tablets maybe!

It's awesome seeing the dedication that goes into creating themed villages tbh, my town's just a strange mish-mash of all the PWPs I like best haha.

May I suggest grizzly as a villager
Because there always a bear in all the forest and also where witches lives
You can also be dresses (by Gracie) like at a witch

And some town names...
Twilight
dusk
Darkally (saying dark valley)

That all I got :/

You could name the town "Salem" where they had the Salem Witch Trials.Salem is also the name of Sabrina The Teenage Witch's black cat.

Town names: Hollow, Tomb, Crypt, Cauldron, Potion, Enchant, Spell, Tonic, or Merlin.

Pwps: Stone tablet, stonehenge, Totem pole, windmill, moai statue, geyser, hotspring, zen garden, wisteria trellis, water pump, torch, fire pit, round topiary, square topiary, statue fountain, scarecrow, flower bed, weather instrument, wooden or brick bridge, log bench, zen bell, zen town hall and zen train station.

Villagers: Coco, Kiki, Cherry, Clay, Cole, Hamphrey, Kyle, Lobo, Lucky, Mathilda, Muffy, Peck, Roscoe, Sparro and Vesta. I think any of them would fit your theme.

Landscaping ideas: Lots of cedar trees, bamboo, mushrooms, holly starts, clovers, black roses, black cosmos, black lilies, black tulips, orange roses, orange cosmos, orange lilies, purple pansies, purple tulips, blue roses and maybe blue violets.

House design ideas: Definitely use the creepy set. You might also try the halloween set, purple Rococo set, Harvest set, Mushroom set, and maybe use examined fossils to decorate with (because they look like little skulls).

I was actually thinking of Salem when I had ideas for it!

Also picking up a creepy set from another user. I needed the cauldron and the crystal ball for sure.

This is really helpful guys, thank you so much!

Maybe have 4 different witch characters. Each one could have a different color theme. Orange and black, purple and orange, black and blue, purple and black? There's a lot of cute qr codes for Halloween dresses online too. (Or make your own). Some fun witch names- Hazel, Agatha, Hilda, Gretchen? Maybe the interior of the houses could match the colors used outside too.

My Joy town has a witch mayor character. You can dream visit if you like. The interior and decorations outside might give you some ideas. Have fun with your new town.
