Wish Personalities Weren't 'Split' // Wish there were more!

So 'girl' villagers have these four: Normal (Sweet), Snooty, Peppy, and Uchi

and 'boy' villagers have these: Jock, Cranky, Smug, and Lazy

but I wish they weren't split based on whether the villager is a 'girl' or 'boy', e.g I'd love to see a villager like Kiki with a lazy personality or even marshal have a peppy personality (he sings SO much on my island LOL)

Do you wish the personalities weren't split? Or do you wish for more?

I think a cute personality to add would be Klutz, like a villager who constantly loses their items or even maybe a small interaction like they wear their clothes backwards and you get the option to say "Your shirt is on wrong!" and they get flustered

Sidenote: I wish villagers took naps...I think it'd be cute to see lazy villagers have a note on their door saying "I'm taking my daily nap! Please come back later"
There's so many ideas..I think sometimes the dialogue I get from my villagers can get repetitive but I hope they introduce more options soon!

I wish there were more personality types and I agree I wish we had male/female of all personality types

I agree that having them gendered is silly, and I do wish we had at least enough personalities to prevent duplicate personalities on an island. Failing that, there should be sub-personalities to make dialogue for two of the same villager type not exactly the same. I LOVE Judy and Freya both, but they feel very samey sometimes.

one personality idea i have is “brainy” or “nerdy” type where it can be gender neutral! the brainy types are kinda like smugs but they constantly go off about nerdy stuff like computers, math, space stuff etc. in the next installment there should def be some new personality types tho

YES I feel this with zucker and punchy, though interestingly I have Raymond and Marshal and those two are different for me? Marshal is like a "tsundere" and sings a lot more, whereas Raymond is more into fashion and style haha

OMG BRAINY/NERDY! I love that...kind of like blathers??? imagine how cute it would be to give them a bug and they tell you other fun facts about it! IMO Smugs aren't as 'nerdy' as they were meant to be o: they are more fancy/flirty hahaha

I haven't really been able to tell a difference. I have Marshal and Raymond who both behave extremely similarly, and I have Freya and Judy who are basically the same in their dialog too.

I've seen that! I've also seen threads that the subtypes are quite negligible in dialogue though :'(

That's interesting - I have Marshal and Raymond and they are a bit different - though I just think that Marshal clicks with me more!

i personally haven't been able to tell much of a difference with the subtypes, at least with my lazy villagers (have punchy, zucker, bob, and filbert atm), so it's a little disappointing to find that the dialogue is so repetitive. i do wish it was at least a little more unique.
