i hate winter in the game, its so dreary and ugly all the time and i cant work on my town because i cant tell what looks good- everything is so gross looking that my paths look bad 100% of the time

i know how you feel. i do like the snow when it's actually snowing in the game though. if it's snowy and sunny at the same time (which is like 80% of winter) then i really don't feel like playing. i find that i landscape less in the winter as well

winter's my favourite, my paths blend in really well luckily. i get what you mean by how its dreary but it's soothing for me

just adapt your town for winter, that's what I did, winter is also one of my fave seasons in AC though.

That's a shame, I find the snow so beautiful! Although this year it seems I have a lot of grass deterioration, especially around my station, and I will agree that it does look quite ugly. But the good thing is that grass recovers quicker over the snow season, so hopefully it won't stay ugly for too long. It's made making snowmen a hassle though.

Maybe take a break from landscaping and focus on something else? You could try changing your paths like people suggested, you may enjoy the change, and it might motivate you to play as you normally do.

The easy way is, when Isabelle is saying good morning (or whatever) set the time from, say, 11 Dec to , say, 11 June. Don't save in case you change your mind, then...freeze your but this is only a good idea if you wish to live in perpetual summer... IRL, I prefer Summer but my weeds don't grow in the Winter... You win some...

I love making snow people, and dressing my mayor in cute winter clothes. I also love when the cedars get lights on them.

I don't have paths in my town so HA!

On a serious note, I like the winter. The grass regrows much quicker. I actually managed to make a perfect Snowmam yesterday.

This is the post that shows on my PC. I don't see a request to hear from anybody who likes winter.

How about adding winter paths? I love the winter, my town looks so dreamy and ethereal. Make some changes. If you have bright flowers in your town perhaps replace them with blue, pink, white, purple, for the season. My flowers are those colours year round so I don't really change anything lol. But landscape as much as possible, despite the snow. Imagine what it will look like in the Spring :)

Becca, you look like you're having way too much fun. Stop it!

Winter can be a bit depressing for me in real life (I hate the cold). But in game I found cute ways to make it enjoyable. For example I have fun to try and decorate my villagers houses with festive items. If I don't want to ruin a villager interior too much I just send them a snow globe! But I sent a festive small tree to all the others! And also I send items that make a villager home feel more warm and cozy. Looking around on the net I found cute paths that resemble ice rivers and ponds. I put them all over my town . It can be fun if you use your imagination!

I don't like winter in games in general, seeing all the snow makes me feel cold. I think the only thing I like about winter in Animal Crossing is the lights on cedar trees, that's cute.

It was a big downer last year when I got ANCL to start in the winter. No bugs! It made waiting for the spring unbearable... so bad that I ended up taking a multi-month break from the game from about early March to mid-summer. Since then I've played every day... This year I'm less bummed. My town is a lot nicer and works better with the winter aesthetic. There's no more huge open spaces of just snow anymore, lol.

Something that can help, have a friend or 2nd game that is TT'ing! My GF and I decided to set her game to be in April and timeshifted. So whenever it's dark and dreary in my town I can go take a vacation to sunny, greener fields :)

Yeah I hate playing in winter too, though I do love the crunchy sounds from the snow..
