Um ok, I have an Acer Aspire One Laptop with Windows XP on it, and for some reason my stereo mix all of the sudden stopped working. It says that the device is working properly but when i try to record something from the speakers, It doesn't get any sound. It used to work fine but then about 1 to 2 weeks ago, the stereo mix just all of the sudden stopped working!

If you can help me, thank you!

Have you tried going into Device Manager, finding it and I believe if you right-click on it and there should be an option to rescan for hardware changes.

Try that first. ;)
If it doesn't work, I don't know what will.

You need to go around your computer (check out different settings and such) and see if there's an option to enable/disable certain stereo settings. If that doesn't work then I would restart your computer and see if it works again. Also, if your stereo mix is not built into the computer then try and plug it out, then plug it back in.
