With the new update coming in a couple of days, will you hurry up and finish your island to receive dreamers? Or will you take your time?
My island is pretty much finished, what I need to do is to get rid of the flower deposit in my beach D: I was dreading that so maybe this is my cue to stop procrastinating. I really want to open up my island for people to see!

For those of you who know how it works, are players able to contact you after they've seen your island? Is there anyway to know who visited in a dream?
Yeah, I'm definently trying to clean it up as much as possible. I'm not trying to add anything new, just clean up where my flowers are cluttered, pick up sticks, etc.
Actually that's exactly what I plan on doing! I have completed my house all except for my basement (which is basically just going to look like an actual basement, with little boxes everywhere and like holiday items sitting out like an attic, plus a little corner for crafting). But I haven't really gotten to finish my villager's yards or the major areas I have planned for my island. I am going to be out of town for the entire first week of August but I'd really like to hop on the Dream Suite bandwagon as soon as it's available, so I'm going to spend the free time that I have this week in trying to finish up most of the areas of my island or at least get them started so that I can upload it before I leave!
Two weeks after I come back from my trip is when the school semester starts for me. It's going to be an intense semester, even if it's online. All of my classes are senior level now and I can already tell I'm going to be too overwhelmed to take on any major projects. My goal overall is to try and finish my island before the semester begins. That way I can just play doing daily tasks and getting villager pictures/finishing my museum/participating in the stalk market and other small little things like that. I'll be happy to finish the landscaping of it almost entirely and just do tweaks that are seasonal and add on to it whenever there's something new from an update. Life is too busy for me outside of the summer months to be able to dedicate that much time. So this update is coming at a perfect time for me and is the perfect push that I need to get things finished.
I'll probably start fixing up some small parts but most of my island is already done! I'm not going to rush things just for the update. I'm going for presentable only!
My island is not finished and probably won’t be finished anytime soon. I do however need to clean it up a bit and make it more presentable. The flowers have taken over and I’m out of storage space so I have some items laying around. I work on my island in small areas as inspiration hits. I don’t want it to be finished and then have to redo everything to make space for buildings when they get added.
Probably will, I'm just more concerned with finishing collecting the mermaid set of DIYs, if anyone has duplicates of the chair and dresser I'd be eternally grateful
Nope! My island is a forever work-in-progress and currently has maybe one developed area. That is okay! I think the fact that social media encourages us to only feature "finished" products is why so many of us feel anxious about our islands. It's like that saying about the wisdom of not comparing your entire life to someone's highlight reel. Normalize unfinished islands!
