will villagers sell you unorderables from their homes?

a couple days ago i accidentally traded marina my globe that i got as a gift from katie. i wasn't paying attention and then i found out you couldn't re-order it from the catalog, and i noticed marina put it up in her house. i've been mailing her items around the same size hoping she would replace it and put it in retail but so far she has not. i'm wondering, if i talk to her enough that she invites me over to her house, do you think she would re-sell it back to me?

i'm not sure because 1) its unorderable and I can't remember if a villager ever sold me unorderable furniture when i asked after hanging out and 2) because i "gave" it to her would the game prevent her from selling it back to me? has anyone successfully bought back items like that which they gave to a villager?
