Will trees grow here?

I'm afraid to cut down these trees that are already in a line that they won't grow, so will trees grow here? I want to plant the very top one only one block over more in the place of the red rose next to it near the geyser so that there's more space to walk, but I don't know if it'll work. Will this tree grow, or not?

I'm pretty sure is won't since it's directly diagonal to the river, but I'm not 100% sure.

The angle is tough for me to see, but I am going to say no. That one spot you are pointing at is right on the river bed. There has to he a space you can walk through between the water and the trunk.

I'd also say no....its a real pain in my town right now as I have only just really started to landscape after obtaining all my dream villagers. Wherever I want to plant things it's going wrong....

Yes you can. You can plant a tree diagonally next to the river as long as there is nothing on the spaces next to it horizontally and vertically. Since you have roses on those spaces, there is enough space for the tree to grow. I'll post a screenshot to show that it is possible.



Oh, and you can also plant trees diagonally next to the cliff and diagonally next to the cliff wall on the side of your town and on the beach. You can't plant trees diagonally next to buildings or PWPs though.

Thank you, Red Cat! I planted a perfect cherry tree there and TT'd and it worked! I'm grateful, I was so sick of walking through just a one path tree line because I couldn't see my character. It worked!

As long as you can dig a hole and run completely around it you should be fine!
