Will there ever be more furniture?

Right now I am very burnt out and have grown bored with the game. This is somewhat due to the lack of Brewster, but I'm willing to deal with that since I know he's coming at some point.

Mainly it's because of a lack of furniture. I'm really bored of seeing the same things in Nook's Cranny each day, and of seeing the same things on people's islands. Everyone's islands have begun to look the same. I'd really like more furniture but I'm not holding out too much hope, and it's really affecting my enjoyment of the game.

there will be but it might take a while. as of right now, it seems that only new furniture that correlate with an event are being added in. but once those are done, i imagine that nintendo will start reintroducing/adding in other furniture ;;

The realistic answer is that we don't know. They are adding seasonal furniture and it feels like they are holding off on some furniture. I wouldn't be surprised if we finally got some more furniture when we finally get the next Nook's Cranny upgrade. But, I don't think that will be until after winter. I think they are holding off on giving us that until we get to see all the seasonal decorations at the current store.

i really, REALLY hope so. it's ridiculous that new leaf has 20x the amount of furniture than new horizons and you can't even place items outside in new leaf. so stupid.
