Will save data transfer ever come?

Honestly the lack of save data transfers really worries me. Because one switch won’t last forever. I sure hope they’ll add this ability in the future. They’ve said they’re working on it but haven’t said anything in a few months

Recent datamines have turned up some incomplete text and such that seems to be related to save data backups. So while it seems like some work is being done on being more flexible with save files, there's no way for us to know when this feature will come, or what it will be like, or how it will work with transfers, or even if it will come to fruition in the end. All we can do is wait and give feedback.

I hope it comes soon. Honestly its really scary to think that I could loose my island which I've spent 600+ hours designing

i think it might be with the next update at least according to several youtube videos.

i know nintendo said they were working on it and recent datamines have info that seems to hint at save backups so hopefully we’ll get this feature sooner rather than later ;;
