Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.
I just spent 1 million bells on turnips that sold for 92 bells each.
I just want to know...do you think it was worth it? Will risk equal reward in this case?
92 Bells is a pretty good buying price. Even if the spike doesn't go very high and you can only sell them for, say, 110 Bells, at least you'll make a small profit. Any profit is better than none. But keep an eye on The Train Station, where people often announce their turnip prices.
it's pretty easy to find somewhere with high prices online so unless you really like to time travel (and will ruin the turnips by TT:ing) you'll easily find somewhere to sell them within a week ^^
Yes!! There are a lot who have turnip spikes go up to 500 bells, so you'd profit around 400 per turnip, which is huge. Just lurk around the site for huge turnip spikes; you'll have no problem B]
There is always risk associated with playing the stalk market, however most results are positive. There are 4 different patterns that the prices can follow, small spike, large spike, random, and decreasing. As long as you check your turnip prices regularly, (twice a day since they change at midday) you should hopefully get a profit. A small spike has 4 increasing prices, the fourth being the largest. If however the third increase is over approximately 250 bells, then you probably have the large spike pattern. A large spike pattern consists of 3 increasing prices, therefore that price on the third increase would be the highest of the large spike (hope that makes sense between the spikes). The next pattern is the random pattern. This pattern will not have 2 consecutive increases, however 2 prices over 100 bells, therefore if the price increases only once and then goes back down, you have the random pattern and should sell on the next increase which will be over 100 bells, so you should still profit. The final pattern is the decreasing pattern. In this pattern there will be no increases during the week. This pattern can be spotted if you don't get an increase before thursday afternoon. If this is the case you should sell immediately or ask around on the bell tree forums to see if anyone else can give you a higher price. The way i see it, you have a 75% chance of an increase which seems like pretty good odds. Hope this helps and you can spot those patterns getting the most out of your investment!
Ahaha! It's only worthh it if you don't feel bad or pained about the loss or if you sold it for less than you think you could've got. I find that the stalk market is like stock marketing or gambling related! I never really turniped since I just use my island as a bell making resort/escape route. I mean stocking is a fine way to grab bells and such and either way you won't exactly 'lose' in the animal crossing game because you can still sell them and receive bells back, but the thing is making a profit or not~ I think it's good to keep checking in everyday and never out guess when to sell, most likely if you feel that it's time to sell it probably would be.. There's a high point and a low point during sometime of the week before the turnip starts to rot. and if all goes wrong you have the island to make up for it! So, good luck! I know it's not real/real life ect gamblings and such, but gambling is never good must pointing that out there lol
