Will Gulliver squish my items on the beach?

You know, when Gulliver randomly washes up on your beach, and he might sleep right on top of your items? Does it come back?

I have hybrids on my beach, Gulliver has never damaged any of them.

from my experience he doesn't, none of my flowers have gone

He doesn't, he just seems to lie on top of them. My beach is covered in items and flowers and never had any problems
