Will a villager leave if you've asked them to stay before

I know it seems an obvious question, but recent datamines etc have been a bit confusing!

If a villager asked to move and I told them to stay, and since then, several other villagers have left etc. can the villager I previously told to stay still ask to move again? I'm assuming they can but has anyone experienced this?

I had a villager ask to move before but the timing was wrong so I let them stay, but now I will need to cycle them out for my final dreamie.

I think if they were the most recent one to ask then no?
that's what I gathered from the datamine anyway

after another guy asks you should be back in business though

They have the ability to ask again, tho it is delayed a bit i believe!!

If you said no the first time, then he/she will be exempted to be the villager to ask the next time, but after that next time, I believe he/she again has the chance of asking you to leave... He/she is not asking to leave more often than others is probably because of his/her high friendship level as compared to your other newer villagers, that'll affect the chances I believe...

Yes definitely. My friends get annoyed by the fact that their favorites keep asking to leave haha.
