Unfortunately, it stays there forever, unless a Mod deletes it. I saw your feedback, and it does seem bogus. PM a mod about it.

You can pm one of them by clicking their name, then it will have the option to private message them
(Ex. I click Justin's name and it will have 6 options, visit page, send private message and a couple more, what i forget what it was)

If their name is blue or red, send them a PM. I don't think that Sages have mod powers, so don't PM those with green usernames. Or, just go to quick links at the top, and click site leaders.
