Wi-fi Villager Pool?

Hi again guys!

I promised Leonardo to someone on this forum, and he mentioned that Whitney recently moved out from his town and he did not give her to anyone nor has streetpassed anyone since she moved out.

I vaguely remembered that someone made a thread that they got a voided villager from doing wi-fi. Is Whitney going to move to my town the day after he picks Leonardo up? Or is it just a feature available by using streetpass?

Just want to make sure so I can start the day using a new character if Whitney is going to move to my town ^^;

it doesnt always work that way. I wifi'd someone who kindly let me visit after she accidentally voided merengue and i didn't get her

I seem to get a voided move-in every time I do anything online with nine villagers, so I'd test with a new character if I were you. Picked up Fuchsia from someone on here two days ago after I dropped off some apples at their town.

(I also accidentally passed my voided Mallary to someone else, he wasn't best pleased--sorry dude, I thought she'd gone already!)

Hmm it seems that there's no absolute way to know whether I'll get a new villager from doing wi-fi or not @_@ I'll just start with a new character to be safe then.
I kind of want to have Whitney staying for a while, but at the same time I need to have a slot free. Dilemma. I guess I'll leave it up to luck hahah *crosses fingers*

And jolokia, I think Mallary is adorable haha. A shame the person who received her does not like her D:
