Why's the 3DS hated so much?

I see that lots of people wanted games like Pokemon XY and Animal Crossing, but they refuse to buy one. The 3DS is hated so much that they had to release a 2DS!? What's so bad about the 3DS? Yeah, it doesn't have a lot of games, but that's not so bad, right?

Yeah, I still see hate for it. People want Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, but they don't want a 3DS or a 2DS.

If you go on Youtube and look at a trailer for new 3DS games, specifically Nintendo games, a lot of people will ask for it to come on to a different system than the 3DS.

This so much. IF you only look at Youtube, then it's going to be bad. Usually the only system hate I see is Wii U, people prefer the 3DS.

The 3ds was overpriced when it was released, and there were basically no games within the first year. Only until pokemon and ACNL did the 3DS fanbase widen. There was a huge price drop later after it was released. The device itself was fairly unpopular as a handheld, mostly for price reasons. That's what I've heard anyways.

Pfft they do that with everything. WHY ISN'T SUPER MARIO ON MY BROBOX ONE? I HATE NINTENDO. It's been like that for ages.

Yeah but in comparison the Vita has stuff the other systems have, which is the whole problem with it's sales, lack of big unique stuff. The 3DS is the only place to play A LOT of stuff that's widely known and desirable.

I'm sure a majority of people don't think about importing. They do on the forums but offline people are unaware because they only go to the stores by them to get games. If you know what you want and are looking for and how to get it, then you're in better shape.
