Why would he break my heart like that?!

I think that the villagers you get the closest to are the most likely to leave, so that you get a chance to meet new villagers. But that's pretty upsetting to people like me who like to keep the villagers I get attached to, aaa.

From what I understand the higher the villager friendship level the more pings you'll get from them. That's why is critical if you have favorite villagers to talk to them on a regular basis. Sadly though, they may not ping you and move unexpectedly which REALLY bites.

Julian tries to move a lot. It is dumb that villagers with high friendship always want to leave. Wouldn't you want to stay if you liked your town and neighbors? lol

I cannot prove my theory but I want to describe what I just experience a lot. Any villager pings me to move out at some point, no matter if we are good friends or not. However, villagers I care about will usually leave when I agree with them to leave. When I do not care so much for the villager they will stay in my town to show that we can still get to know each other better and become better friends in future. It seems the game wants me to be nice to bad villagers, and as a reward I can kick them out...

My favorite villagers ALWAYS ask to move, and its never the ones I don't have as much attachment to. I like to think my villagers are being spontaneous without thinking things through so I dont remain too frustrated about it.

Diana, Erik and Julian all ask to move constantly. Why would you ever want to leave a place where you're spoiled to death and basically have a free slave that buys you cute stuff and brings you free perfect fruit? ;_;
