Why wont they come visit?!

so i've been playing aninmal crossing new leaf since it came out and the one thing ive been waiting for is for Gracie to come visit. she still hasn't and i already have TIY. also ive never had katie visit either but you guys always seem to want to get rid of her... mind shedding some light on the gracie thing?

You have to have spent a good amount of Bells at T.I.Y. before she starts showing up.
And I didn't get Katie for a long time before she ever came to my town. Some people get her a lot and some people almost never get her.

i get katie a lot and its annoying
but i think if you wifi more theres a greater chance

also - you need T.I.Y first. and then you need to spend around 100k bells i believe to get her to show up? but to even get her to show up is hard for some people. but it took me about 2 weeks so
