So I got bamboo island a while back. I pulled back some full trees (using the coconuts on the island) and planted them in my town, along with some of the sprouts I got from the island. About 3-4 days later, I was able to get about 4 sprouts from the bamboo. It has now been weeks and I have gotten no new sprouts. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

I'm not sure, but it took weeks for the bamboo on my island to produce chutes. I transplanted them from an island not long after I got the game in March and I only discovered my first chutes today. I honestly thought they didn't produce chutes at all and that you'd have to get them from an island or Daisy Mae if you wanted any.

My experience with bamboo matches amemome's. I transplanted adult bamboo on my island that I got on a tour and none of them ever produced shoots. The shoots I planted produced one batch of shoots themselves and then never did so again.

this is a known glitch - bamboo is supposed to sprout at the same rate as trees. and i'm not sure if the most recent update has fixed it.

i'd recommend what i did which is to report it to the nintendo hotline as a glitch !

Ooh. Good to know, thank you!

Players complained about how fast bamboo spread in New Leaf, so now in New Horizons the bamboo will only produce a single sprout in its lifetime
