why nintendo pushes hamlet a lot?

i’m not complaining, i like him a lot but anyone else noticed they pushed him for promotions of the game? he’s been on the cover of new leaf, trailers of both new leaf and new horizons. maybe this certain villager is something special for nintendo staff or something? idk what’s about it, but he’s not like he’s marshal or rosie in terms of popularity.

i’m shocked that even with all of this payola he’s not popular in tier lists lol. he’s cute but then again a lot of people don’t like jocks.

He’s one of the cuter jock villagers for sure. He and Genji are probably the only jocks I actually like lol.

I like some of the jocks, and I guess Hamlet does cute things but I just don't like him. But I also dislike most if not all of the hamster villagers so...

Honestly I love all the hamster villagers, Hamlet has got to be my favorite hamster villager.

Probably because he was the first Hamster villager revealed. Maybe that's why.

As for the deer, even though Fauna was the first deer revealed, they chose Fuchsia because you can only get Uchi and Jock villagers as your starter, and let's be honest. Between her and the other uchi deer, Fuchsia is the more popular one.

He was probably used to promote the new hamster species in NL and is so small he could be slapped in trailers without sacrificing too much space for NH

I mean, it’s the same for Rod. He was displayed on a Slide in HHD and is now on the Cover of New Horizon, even if people don’t like him that much or Mouse Villagers in general.

Maybe Nintendo goes for: Small = Cute.

I don’t think Nintendo really goes for something like „Popularity Lists“. They just use whatever Villagers they feel.

i had him in my 2nd new leaf town and i can’t stop looking at his face (ok that sounded creepy) but i mean he’s cute so he gets a pass for continuously talking about his non-existing abs

I like him and he's definitely one of my favorite jocks. Him, Genji, and Dom are on my acceptable jock list (maybe Kody too).

Why random? He dresses like a Pirate or Sailor, which is fitting for an Island. They could also took someone like Del, but I don’t think that a Black, grumpy looking Crocodile Villager would be Eyecandy for the Children. Lol

I guess O‘Hare would work, but Bunnie was already on the Cover. I don’t know.

Whoa... what’s wrong with Rod? He's one of my top five animals. He was the inspiration for me to go pirate themed in Wild World...
