Why must Sonic drive a car?

Mario Kart rip off srsly.

It's been done before. Ever played Sonic Drift? Also it's not really a Mario Kart rip-off, if anything it was inspired by Mario Kart, most games today have inspirations from other games, and if that means rip-off, then Okami and Darksiders are Zelda rip-offs.
It would be alot better if it was a Sonic racing game on foot though.

It's been done before. Ever played Sonic Drift? Also it's not really a Mario Kart rip-off, if anything it was inspired by Mario Kart, most games today have inspirations from other games, and if that means rip-off, then Okami and Darksiders are Zelda rip-offs.
It would be alot better if it was a Sonic racing game on foot though.

I agree about Sonic R. It was a great game. One of the few pre-Sonic Adventure games that I actually enjoyed. It and Sonic the Fighters.

You mean Fang the Sniper in Sonic the Fighters? It's a shame that Sega scrapped him, along with Bean and Bark. Oh, and we can't forget about Metal Knuckles and Tails Doll!
