I'm plot resetting Wolfgang hes been in the exact same area for the last 10 resets. I tried powering off my 3ds entirely, home then x button and power button and home. Hes still in the same place?? This has never happened before

Are you sure you didn't accidentally load up one of your main characters (mayor or side) before he plotted? Do you have any other free spaces (ones that aren't taken up with PWP's. A house can't be within a certain area of a PWP so if you have a lot of large, scattered PWP's, it could be difficult for the game to register another spot for him to plot) besides the one that he's plotting on? Did you load up your mayor/side characters at all today after 6am? (I mean in-game 6am since you could've time-traveled)

this does seem really odd? i know that villagers have a select 4 plots they will usually choose, then a few random plots here and there. but it doesn't make sense that wolfgang isn't leaving one spot? it could be the game glitching and only putting him in that one spot. sorry i'm no help :c

This happened to another girl. She solved it by TTing back to the previous day and setting a pwp in the plot her villager kept using. Then she TT'd back to the next day and was able to plot reset her villager successfully.

^ wouldn't work, it'd save the plot from the day before it doesn't matter what day you're on

sounds like you've accidentally saved his plot, maybe you did it wrong?

Incorrect. If she didn't load the day she can TT back. I've done it many times.

When you use a new character to reset the game is never "loaded" which is why you can TT back. The plot won't be registered on that day because you never loaded the next one.

I have not loaded, its not the same plot just the same area.
Hes plotted I the area I wanted him to earlier but now it's just the same.

The chain broke but only for one reset and now it's back in the same area

I think il try this then. I'll give it a few more tries then I'll do it

Also I am giving her a solution that worked for another girl literally having this same problem and it solved it. Sometimes when you don't have many plottable areas this happens.

Like I said, it works so long as she didn't actually load the day. If she did so, then yes it's impossible to fix. He's stuck there.

That's strange because I have a lot of space due to all my villagers being in the bottom right side of my town. I really dont understand why this is happening

Good luck :3 since it's the same area I recommend a really big pwp so you can plot it kinda in the middle and hopefully block out most of it.

Unfortunately plot resetting is pretty luck based. So be prepared for a lot of resets x.x and a lot of 1 block off placements xP

Hope he plots well for you

Yeah, that's why I hate plot resetting. When I was plot resetting villagers LOVED to move in front of my house, barely leaving any room to walk. So I put a street lamp in front of my house and boop, they stopped moving in front of there.

The mechanics really need to be fixed though :/

As mayors of the town we can abandon our town for decades, chop down every tree in sight, hit each and every one of our villagers with hammers and nets, and let our towns become overrun with weeds, but we can't choose where our villagers move in. :/

I wouldn't mind a mechanic for a new move-in where you load up the game and Isabelle tells you "Oh, that's right! Someone wants to move into (your town) today! They said they want to meet with the mayor straight away!" and when you meet them, they can tell you they're having trouble choosing a house placement, and you can choose whether or not to help them. That way the people who don't mind random plotting can still have the option for their villager to plot randomly.

That would be so wonderful. Like really. They know who we are by now lol. I'm surprised this isn't a thing

Maybe next game :3

I actually didn't use the pwp trick but just kept resetting and he isnt in my planned spot but he is in another spot I had. I kind of gave up on that one since be wasn't plotting anywhere near but I am finally done after 2 days of resetting

Thanks for all your help!
