Why is this happening?

Okay so old villagers walk around main street, we all know that but for the last week Whitney has been wandering around in and out of the shops but she has never lived in my town or even camped there. I've never even spoken to her in somebody else's town and when I first spoke to her in main street she didn't say anything like 'who are you' she already knew who I was which suggests that I've spoken to before. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows why this is happening

That's really strange. What does she talk about? Are her convos the same as those of villagers who've moved out?

That is strange. I've only ever seen current or past villagers on Main Street. Do you TT? The only thing I can think of is that you TT her in & out without knowing it. If you don't TT, then I don't have a clue as to why she is on your Main Street. Is this happening to others????

I had this happen one time with Prince. I didn't even know who he was and he knew me....WEIRD

Huh.. to everyone who this has happened to: can you remember if the villager was an extra, or did they come in place of a villager who should actually have been there?

So for example, let's say Prince has moved out a while ago and so have a few others since then.. But you never see him on Main Street. Instead, there's that new villager who's never lived in your town. I'm asking because I'm wondering if the game can somehow make a mistake in registering who has moved out, thus replacing them with a different villager.

I have no idea though, just throwing things out there.

This happened to me with Agnes. She's always talking about turf wars and whatnot when I actually do talk to her.. It's weird. I don't TT and she has absolutely never lived in my town before. So.. I'm sure it's a glitch or something.

I only have Puck, Savannah and Sparro on my main street, and they were all my neighbors at some point.

Henry should turn up next, since cookies leaving and im pretty sure he moved out after.

That's weird. There has to be some reason why they are there. Maybe they were going to move in but you invited another villager to move in so the game thought they lived in your town and put them on Main Street. Idk.

I kept calling someone wrong or delusional for saying they got a mainstreet hobo they've never seen before. someone else had the nerve to back him up and said they come from the caf?.

so I've been wondering.. a villager won't appear on mainstreet until 5 more villager move out. does anyone know if caf? mainstreeters help moved out villager show up in mainstreet? you know, for people who have all their dreamies but would like to see that one accidental dreamy move out hanging out on mainstreet. I'd really like to know but nobody knows much about caf? hobos so I don't expect an answer.

Same thing happen to me, saw Pate on my main street when i didn't know who he is. He's the first one to appear, and i don't TT at that time.

Same thing, spoken to him and he say he come back for visit and he knew me.

Always thought he's from streetpass till i come to this forum.

Huh! That is weird! I want it to happen to me, now. LOL Villagers don't move out often in my town, so I've had Groucho, Dora and Whitney for AGES. No one new. I need to start serving coffee again and see if I can make it happen. lol
