Why is fishing such an annoyance?

No idea if its just me but it would appear that it is ALOT harder than it used to be to find new varieties of fish in the ocean, literally been fishing for the last 3 hours and I seem to just keep catching either sea bass or well sea bass.

This makes fishing incredibly frustrating as i am so close to unlocking he silver rod and I don't know if they changed the in-game mechanics from WW for fish that spawn but it is frustrating me and stopping me from progressing my museum collection.

Anybody else noticed this too? it might well be cause its night time here in the UK but yeah, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't noticed anything. Are you just catching the one size of fish?

seems that way yes, their all sea bass size, I keep wanting and hoping for another Oarfish haha

Oarfish are waaaay longer and bigger than sea bass. Just about the only things you can catch that are that size in the ocean at this point in time are the sea bass, unfortunately.

My advice is to try catching all sizes of fish which appear, not just the largest.

A few new fish have appeared this month, and most of them are found by catching the smaller shadows. Just a suggestion.
