i use dude sometimes as well as "bruh" instead of "bro"

I do this a lot, although I try to avoid saying it to people before asking if they are comfortable with it, as I know a lot of people, especially trans women, aren't cool with it, and I wouldn't want to misgender anyone, or like in your case, saying stuff that sounds too stereotypically "manly" to be comfortable.

I'm not a guy, but I mainly do this because I have a close friend who says stuff like that a lot and it's just kinda rubbed off on me.
