why do welcome amiibo cards have to be so hard to get

The Toys R Us in my area has Series 1-4. The Welcome amiibo cards were hard for me to find though, I had to trade for most of them.

Try living in Australia where amiibo cards barely exist and amazon hates you haha

I've checked pretty much every store around me and no luck with the cards...only place that may have them is Toys R Us, and the nearest one is ages away. The scalping prices are preposterous on eBay and amazon, and with Nintendo not supplying enough, it makes it nearly impossible to get a pack without paying an arm and a leg
