Why do we even HAVE so many rocks?!

I built my paths around the rocks
I just put bushes ad pwp that are ok near them, I keep special stumps
I just like watching my villagers sit on them (lobo lolz) get a pinwill or a balloon and watch my clouds for some hours Z_z zZzzzzzZZZZZ
pretty sre this is a *cool* good way to FAAK *drooling guilty*
buy why are they Soooooooooo HUGE i hate running into them when i'm in a hurry :-/

I also have seven.
Two of them are incorporated in my paths... UGH

IMMERSION! I HATE IT!

I remember going to a certain town to visit RV's a while back. I was allowed to go to the RV park by myself. There was one area of the path where the view of it was obstructed by a tree or bamboo or something. Guess what happened the first few times I went there? Yup, sat down on the rock in the middle of the path a number of times before the pathway in my brain kicked in and reminded me. Lol, I wonder if the mayor watched from behind a tree to see how long it took people to go around that rock!

I have nine rocks, and have made good use of them, especially my two that sound as close as yours.

My lovely (imo, oc) double hot springs with two rock seats to watch and listen to the waterfall and the springs.

I love rocks irl, too, and since I live right next to the Colorado Rocky Mountains, I can't move most of them, either, lol.

BTW, Jon, kids can learn how to TT and then they will be able to catch the Giant Beetle whenever they want to, right?

I keep editing...My 8 year old grandson probably thinks it's hilarious when the cranky villagers say that on his birthday!

Yes, but would you want your child running around saying "Gimme some STINKIN' milk, mum!"

Mum: "Don't say that dear, tis rude!"

Kid: "Angus says it in Animal Crossing!"

Yeah I'm so bothered by my rocks. Just learned to get over them even though every time I walk by them I cringe. Ugh. I LIKE the look of rocks, but they're never in cute places.

I was never really bothered much about rocks, but I did have a friend who had a rock right in middle of her path and she was pissed! rocks can be your mortal enemy in ac oof

To be honest I don't know what to hate more, the fact that we can have up to nine rocks in a town or We can sit on them now thanks to the update. Why Nintendo..

I'm not too fond of the sitting on rocks feature.
Especially during tours.
I keep sitting on them, without trying.

It should be optional.

Actually, unless they lowered the total at the update, there can be up to 11 rocks in a town. I read it in another thread on here from years ago...

As long as the rocks are in acceptable places, I don't have a problem with them. But I remember
I had often trouble with rocks in my older towns which ruined many of my plans to build either a
house or PWP just because they are in the way and I really wished I could have remove them.

Every single one of my 8 rocks is in a place that stops me doing something, like completing a (bush) path.

They can't be in these spots by coincidence, it's like I've previously posted. The rocks are strategically placed to annoy the player.

I have about 8-9 rocks. I don't mind because I think they blend well with my paths or I don't notice them for the most part like they're just there naturally. Well, except for this lone rock that I intentionally used when I was building the playground (behind the left bushes). Felt like it would go well with the geyser.

My rocks aren't in the way anywhere in my main town, but my second cartridge I've reset multiple times because I have had millions of rocks in the way. Why can't we just break them with a pickaxe item or something... Instead we can sit on them now so at least we have that -_-

This thread has honestly made me feel really fortunate with my rock placement lol. All 5 of the real rocks in my town are near permanent structures - couldn't build anything where any of them are even if I wanted to.

Whenever I found a town map I really like, I just prayed that the rock placements aren't
that bad. Of course I had also many times problems with those rocks, I remember I had
to give up a nice spot for mayor's house in one of my past towns just because a dumb
rock blocked the place and Nook didn't allow me because of that to build my house there,
so I had to pick a alternative spot. Turns out later that this dumb rock wasn't even a
permanent rock, it was one of those breakable rocks where a ore comes out. Really?
Why doesn't Nook allow you to put the house on a spot where a breakable rock is
when that damn rock isn't even a "real" one? Does he not know that? Anyway, if
some rocks are on bad spots, I try to work around them as best as I can. I also had
a few times luck that I got a town where the spots for the rocks weren't that bad at
all.

I have 5 rocks, and none of them really cause problems. There's one that is in the top section between the tracks and waterfall; it would have been nice if I could have put more trees/bushes, but I was still able to landscape it and put a log bench in, so I don't mind.

One is in the plaza area, near the cliff, which makes hitting it easy, and the other three are bordered by bushes, so I have ease in hitting them.

I get that they can be pains, but I also think that you can work around them, with a bit of creativity.

I've honestly had... really really good luck with the rocks in my town. Granted, since adding paths in PixelsV2 it does make it a lot harder to hit some but that's on the bell rock portion of the problem and not the, "the rocks are in the bloody way" side of the problem.
I don't really have a problem w/ a lotta rocks because I like to make my towns open-ended and able to get someone wherever they wish to move in. I don't theme them that heavily so I just don't think I've ever encountered that problem. Have you thought about maybe setting up PWPs on the rocks and then deleting them? I believe that's a thing you can do,,,

Yeah the rocks get annoying. Worst part for me is that I forget which ones are permanent and which one is the money rock

And here I thought I had it bad with my 5 rocks. But seriously, we all have it bad with all our rocks. They're probably one of my most hated aspects of the game.

My town has 9 rocks.. and surprisingly, only two are in the way, but they are at least workable.
