I'll begin this with a precursor: Only have had NL for a month. (Yet totally addicted!)
But so far I've had 2 successful undesireables move out and neither of my dreamies have asked to leave... yet.
Out of 10 villagers, 2 are dreamies (Apple and Diana!) and the rest are strongly hated by their mayor.
My method has been since I began my town, introduce yourself to everyone but only play the game with the animals you like. Virtually act like the undesireables aren't there. Don't talk them, even when they "ping" and chase your butt down. In stores, ignore. If a dreamie asks me to deliver somethin' to an undesireable? I say no. But so far my method has worked.
That being said, my little sister adopted my method after getting sick of seeing so many undesireables in her town. A neighbor she likes did ask about leaving. But she was talking to everyone pretty regulalry at first. I find my straight up ignore method has worked for me so far and my dreamies have yet to want to leave. (yay!)
Also... I've had movement in my game pretty regularly.
A few days after Diana moved in, Apple tells me Mr. Hideous Walt wants to leave. He's been pinging like crazy and chasing me down. I just run away and am waiting for Isabelle to tell me he's outtie. Should be any day now...
