Why did you decide to have a second town?

To cycle, and occasionally TT. And eventually build an awesome second town, when the fun of cycling and tt is out of my system.

I don't have a second town

Just wondering - why did you respond in this thread, then? It asks why people have a second town, not IF they have one. ?

Anyway, I decided to begin cycling when my husband got bored of his copy. Then from there on my nephews gave me their games and now I have too many to handle, really, so I mainly only play on two and occasionally use the rest to ship Katie off to or to sell my native fruits in.

I initially got a second copy of New Leaf so that I could build a second town from scratch. I wanted more villagers and more houses to decorate and more opportunities to use PWPs and flowers that didn't really suit my first town's aesthetic.
That's still the eventual plan, but so far I've only really used it for cycling/time travelling/duping. :p

I'm a serial resetter. I like having a backup town where I can drop my things, and cycle through villagers for my new town.

My second town was originally for cycling, but now I've transformed it into another themed town...well, at least that's what it will be when I finish it.

Just wanted a second town after being busy in the first town so that it is now pretty much caught up. The two towns are just enough to keep me happy. The new town is almost three months behind the original town that is set in real time. I suspect it will catch up as I do TT in the new town but never in the original one.

I don't have a second town, but I want one to cycle and do whatever.

*including destroying it :D*

Originally it was to cycle to help my friends get their dreamies. Now it's being used to help hold a friend's villagers while she resets and makes her town perfect so she can plot reset them correctly.

Once that's done I'll probably cycle for a bit to give away villagers/make some more bells to fund my main town then I'll actually work on developing it.

Oh - also I use it so my friends can do weeding day, as well as I use it to make golden roses.

Just for fun. :)

I started a second town, have three characters in it of the opposite gender and am hoping to make a new female character as soon as Portia moves ( that is where I want to put her house.) I really like Portia, but...I want her real estate! lol. She can move back anytime and put her house somewhere else. ;)

I am pretty sure I'll just keep the two female characters in my first village.

It has just been fun to set up a second village, play a bit differently ( more leisurely play) and I've really enjoyed the different map layout.

I ended up getting more than one game copy of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" because I like so many villagers to the point that I like too many villagers.

I wanted to experience more than the allotted ten from just one town.

Because I'm addicted to reset. I love seeing the four map options on the train and starting a new town, that feeling when I finally find a decent map...
And I didn't want to delete my first town.

I have four copies in total.. I was not happy with my first town(NomNom) layout so I bought a new copy (Lushelia) and I am doing way better on this one. (better pwp and villagers) I then decided my first game was going to be my bush buying town, and my third copy would be a hybrid growing town. I use my 4th copy to TT to holidays to get special items. :) It's pretty handy to have more than one copy of the game so you won't mess your town up.

I wanted more villagers. I can't say it was the smartest choice I ever made, but I don't regret it either.

This to. I bought a third copy so I could reset all the time, once I got to attached to my second town.

I felt bored by the game and wanted some change, but just couldn't reset my town after all the hard work I put into it, so I bought a second copy and I don't regret it. I'm very happy with my second town now so I think I'll keep it.
I'll soon buy a third cartridge for cycling, weeding, streetpassing, and also turnips and selling stuff.

My boyfriend stopped playing like a week after release, so he gave the cartridge to me. I decided to cycle with it, but I rarely bother >w< I wouldn't have gone out and boughten a second copy myself.
