Why did you decide to buy New Leaf?

I got it because when every youtuber ever made jokes about how it was sucking up all there free time, I wanted to see what the all the fuss was about.

my ex-boyfriend bought both of us 3ds xls and acnl so we could play together because we'd both played ac games since the gamecube version. we ended up playing together i think maybe, twice? ha.

I never played the other games before, my best friend had the game and let me play it. Thought it was nice, so when I had money I went to buy it. :3 Also thought it would be fun to play the game with her. <3 Really love the game now. ♥ I did stop playing for a month when Pokemon X and Y came out tho. >.<

I played Wild World, which made me want to buy City Folk.

Once I saw the trailer at E3 2008, I knew that I had to play Animal Crossing for the 3DS. It heavily influenced my decision to purchase a 3DS just for that game. And with every trailer, I became more excited.

This game was much different from its predecessors. I had to play it.

Played WW, then CF I loved that game. I bought NL about a month before I could actually get a 3DS (waiting for a sale). I have loved animal crossing since WW. I remember hearing about the 3DS and the new AC game and I new I would eventually get it.

First and foremost, the reason why I bought Animal Crossing: New Leaf is: I was following the entire franchise since the GameCube era and loved its original gameplay concept.
If you were wondering why I got the Japanese version of the same game, it's because I wanted to experience the thrill of having it as early as I possibly could. Sure, the language barrier was there and I had to resort a lot of trials and errors along with online guides and tools to actually understand what was going on, but it was truly satisfying to overcome such hurdle. I only learned a little bit of Japanese because of that, yet I've still got a very long way ahead of me.

I loved ACWW which was my first AC, so I decided to get New Leaf, despite CF being the bomb it was.

I started with WW and saw all these good thing about NL. Decided why not, didn't get into to much at first. Didn't know how to raise money. Now Im in a perfect town with great villagers and it is addicting.

I saw people I follow on Tumblr incessantly posting screencaps from the game and sharing their custom designs... I didn't actually watch any of the gameplay and I'd never owned an AC game before, but that was enough to convince me! Of course, I had to wait what seemed like forever because I couldn't afford a 3DS at the time.

I bought it because I had followed that series for a long time, though I missed out on Wild World. The moment I had heard New Leaf was coming out, I knew I was going to get it.

Totally wanted to try out a new game! (Pokemon was getting a bit boring) so I picked this game up at Gamestop. And I got, hooked.
