Why did you decide on your towns name?

http://www.molossia.org

I name all of my towns Molossia, because it sounds all fantastical and mystical when it really is just a patch of desert IRL. In my current town I actually have the Molossian flag and Kevin Baugh's uniform. :)

I made my town on the 5th Nov, so I named it Fawkes after Guy Fawkes day. Coulda named it Bonfire I guess. :p

My former town name was Macaron, but since I had that town for about 6 months, it's gotten old now u v u I've decided on a new name already, and I'm not sure if it's taken, but I'm keeping it secret for how hehe c:
However, I think that town names based off of flowers or food sound sweet in general (buh dum tiss), so I love using them! I also love choosing town names that have a specific meaning to them but are in a language other than English. Those can be hard to find if you don't know many languages, but they're quite unique! ; u ;

I chose Catville because I am absolutely obsessed with cats. I even named my mayor Kitty for that reason (it ain't my real name). I really like the name Kitty, not only because it has to do with cats, but because it sounds pretty. I might have named myself Lyss (shortened form of my nickname, Lyssie) but I was thinking of cats so Kitty was what I chose instead. Oddly enough, I never planned on having a town full of cats, I like other villagers like Beardo and Fang.

I named mine New York because I love New York City a lot. So it seemed fitting.

I named my town "Woodway" because it was the closest thing I could get to a natural town name. Not that good at town names though. My other town name I would've chose besides "Woodway" was "Nebula".

I named my town Kou because I had this really big Magi phase and it sounded nice and simple and wasn't as much as a dead giveaway as some other town names. Then I reset but still decided to keep it for old times sake. When I researched on its meaning, it can mean either "happiness", "light" or "peace" depending and I thought those were nice meanings and really goes well with the aim of my town.

My bestie started me in this long @&$ AC journey back in gc days. Her maiden name is Birdsong so I thought it'd be fitting to name my town after her. :)

My Mayor's name is Japanese and I wanted to have a Japanese town name because it feels weird to have a Japanese name with an English town name. I used Toyonaka because it was the name of the town my mom was from, and it's not heavily used like Tokyo, so I decided to use it. There's a reason why I chose my Mayor's name but I don't want to say. If you go to the Dream Suite and typed in "Toyonaka", you'll see about 4 towns, and that's because 3 of them were my old towns, and 1 of them is my current one.

I've had a bunch of AC towns, each with a different name..

[AC:WW 1] Crostown - My first town, and the one I regret resetting the most. I was really young back when I made this town name. Originally, I had planned to go with "Fantasite".. but that's 9 letters long, and I was unaware of the limitations. Instead, I went with "Crostown".. a mixture of "Crossing" (from Animal Crossing) and "town".. how original. :T (Although, my ingame hotel was pretty awesomebeans.
[AC:WW X] Luxaton - I beli~ive I saw someone's town as "Luxray" and, thinking of making up a random name for my own town, that word slid in somewhere and "Luxaton" was born. 'Tis my current AC:WW town.. although I've forgotten most, if not all of my previous AC:WW town names. Hm.
[AC:LGTTC] Strallo - Originally a word I made up for a school art project, I ended up adapting this for both my AC:LGTTC town name and my old Minecraft server name, back when the game was in Beta. Though an unfortunate event to the Minecraft server has ki~inda made me regret choosing this town name now.
[AC:NL] Takenda - My current town, and also the name of the kinda-sorta "revival" of the old Minecraft server (.. which never went too well, to be fair), the name itself was generated from a Google Docs random word generator I cooked up, giving 5 random consonants and 3 random vowels. Originally, it was "Takenad" (the vowels had a set position) but I thought "Takenda" worked better.

My town name is Kyoshi, simply because i'm a huge fan of the Avatar: The Last Airbender TV show! I've never really thought about having a theme for my town, and now that I think about it, the name is really out of place for the general theme I'm thinking about.

My towns name is Nova because I was (and still am) playing Long Live the Queen a lot. Trying to get all the endings :p I really got use to being in Nova which is the country that the main character rules over. I also really liked that name. So now I am mayor of Nova.

I named my town Rosetown because my name is Rose as creativity is not one of my strong points when I'm in a hurry to play something and need to think of an eight letter word.

i got the first 3 letters of my suburb and put land at the end so it would be oakland but i forgot about the d so now its oaklan

My town's name is Dawnstar after one of the towns in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - one of my all time favorite games. Dawnstar isn't my favorite town in the game, but I liked how it looked better than the other town names in the game for some reason. Talking about it makes me want to go play it once again as I haven't in months, haha. :P
