I'm been stuck with trying to name my new town for the past couple of days. Originally it was going to be 'Eievui' which was the Japanese translation of Eevee, then I didn't entirely like it, so I decided to pick 'Nymphia' which id the Japanese translation of Sylveon but that grew old rather quickly. I really like the name Fizzy, but my mayor's name is Sketchy so having a double hard y doesn't sound quiet right.

I thought about going with Cuddle, or possibly naming it after my late dog, Haven. But I'm not sure if it'll make me feel better naming my town after losing her only about a month ago.

So I thought coming here could help me think of a name. What made you decide on your towns name, are you happy you picked it?

I picked my main town's name, LuzDale, because I decided to name a town after the word light (since I planned to garden a lot, and I did)
I picked my second town's name, YumStar, because, well, I was hungry xD

My mayor's name is Beatrix, because I like that name, and my town name is Bluville...
I'm not entirely sure why. There's no secret meaning but I liked it.
It kind of makes me think of a mix of Whoville and the blumaroo off of neopets, which was my favorite neopet, back in the day, though.
I only wish I would have capitalized the 'V' in 'ville'. Ah, well.

I originally wanted to call my town Rokkenjima but I'm pretty sure it was too many characters. :c
I have quite an obsession with Hello Kitty so I just thought HKville.. and that was that! I wish I could re-name it but oh well. I'm not unhappy with the name.. I just wish I thought it through a little more. :P

I wanted a Pokemon town name, as I love Pokemon and wanted a little piece of it with me in ACNL :) So I looked up a list of every Pokemon town name so far, and narrowed it down to a few I liked (there are so many nice ones though). Then when I got ACNL and actually went to enter the name of the town, I went with the name that felt right, and that was Cinnabar.

This is kind of embarrassing. I thought I had to enter in my real life town name. So now I'm stuck with the most boring ACNL town name in the world.

I wanted a Greek theme in my town, so that's why I chose Delphi. My characters are named Ophelia and Elissa, also Greek names. I only picked it because I wanted a theme and Delphi kept popping up when I was thinking about town names.

And I really love my town name. It fits to my characters and I have yet to come across another town named Delphi.

My JOY town is named after my daughters middle name.

Farmland is named that way because it's farm themed.

I called my third town Critters because all the characters are an animal or bug.Theres a honey bee,Smokey the bear, a frog and a cat.

My third town i'm working on is called Sunshine because the mayor is Rainbow Brite. It just sounded like a nice cheerful word that went well with the theme.

My town, Nectere, means to bind in Latin. I learned it in my language class and I thought it sounded cool. It also reminds me of a book I read once.

I named my town Crystal. When I first got the game I actually wanted my character to have a bit of a serial killer theme with a hockey mask and such and named it for Camp Crystal Lake but once I got bored with that I found the name could still work for a normal town so I regret nothing. I'd recommend a name with a bit of flexibility like I chose unless you really have a specific theme in mind that you're certain you wont want to ever change.

My first town, Azalea, was after the Pokemon town. I decided on it because it's from Johto and that's one of my favorite generations and it was just one of the towns that fit, that my friends weren't also using.

My newest town is Laverre, and I named, again, from Pokemon. How I decided on this one though was because what I wanted to do in my town was very fairy-like, having lots of pink flowers and setting my dream address in the fall. Also, I had planned on using lots of fairy-tale items, but now I've decided that I wanted to go for a more realistic town, kind of. So I intended for it to be very fairy-like in the beginning and that's why I went with Laverre. :)

Lavender, not from Pokemon, because I just like the sound of it... and I like the color, the smell, and the flower/herb.

I chose the name Ivy Glen just because I thought it sounded pretty. c:
My original name was Ivy Glade but it wouldn't fit.

I named my town Parfait because not only does it mean perfect in french, but it's also one of my favorite foods - u -

I originally tried using one of those town name generators and then I put together a list of words that I liked. But I decided that I wanted a purely unique name for my town, so I based it off of my real name. I'm the most egotistical mayor. 8D

I took my Town's name from Wild World and simply slapped a '2' after it. Effort.
I then proceeded to name my town 'OakTown0' when I played the GameCube version.
As you can see, I am quite a creative person.
