I tried to plant a few cedar trees and most of them wilted. If anyone wants to come to my town to see what I mean then assess to situation, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Have you put them close to water or the edge of a cliff?
They also need this space around them:

XXX
XTX
XXX

Where T is the sapling and X is a free space (not including patterns)

See, which I find weird. I planted a tree in between p.pear trees two spaces above another with the same scenario, both two spaces away from the river, and the one on the bottom wilted.

I currently have:

TFTFTFTFT T=Tree
PPPPPPPP F=Flower
PPPPPPPP P=Path
TFTFwFTFT W=Wilted

It could be that you're planting them in dead spots. Dead spots are random spaces in town where trees just won't grow. Since you're giving the trees proper space to grow this is the only thing I can think of.

I'm guessing you planted them too far south? Cedars only grow in the upper half of your town. There's an exact height where they start dying, it should be around the middle of your town.

Cedar trees will wilt if you plant them too far away from the "top" of your town, so maybe that's what's causing yours to wilt?

Now that I'm thinking about it you could be planting Cedars in the wrong part of town. Are you planting just cedar saplings or saplings?

That's probably it. Well, more p.pear trees then. Thanks.
