Mine were Paula, Hamlet, Filbert, Piper, and Merengue. I'm very pleased with Filbert and Piper because they're two of my dream villagers, Merengue is p good but I'm not planning on keeping her, and I'm definitely not keeping Hamlet (I've already kicked Paula out lol).
My original two were Plucky and Sly. I liked Sky right away. An orange camouflage alligator is pretty cool. Plucky, I was kind of indifferent to. She's on my list of animals that I would let move away if she wants to. After that, I went to the islands and I recruited pretty much whoever I came across (I just wanted more villagers in the beginning). Doing that, I recruited Ozzie, Agent S, and Merengue.
I'm pretty happy with most of those. Even though there's nothing special about Ozzie, and Merengue is not typically the type of animal I would go out of my way to get, I've grown to like them both. I like Plucky as well, tbh...but I will eventually replace her with a more interesting animal. After all, she's just a basic chicken. Lol.
Sprinkle and Maple will probably be long term villagers but I'm not sure about the rest. Plucky has grown on me quite a bit so I'll probably keep her around for a while as well.

Then Marina, Apple, and Walker as my 3 first Mystery Island invites.
I adore Marina but Skye is my normal dreamie so unfortunately she will be leaving! I also want the my villagers to all have their fully furnished houses, not the boring starter ones.
Had awful luck with my move ins. I wasn't aware I could go island hopping to fill the spots and thought they had to be random, and I got Anchovy, Sandy and Kidd, I think? Wasn't particularly thrilled with any of them so I cycled them out ASAP (Kidd is the only one left).
My two starters I do like, though - I had been resetting for Dom, but then I got Mira and Ribbot together, who were both villagers I had in New Leaf! So I kept them for nostalgia's sake.
