Feel free to share, from any of your New Leaf towns (or if you've reset). I only just started my first town today. I think I'd have to say Lily the normal frog villager. If I'm being honest, this is probably only because she greeted me at the train station, and I was shocked to see somebody else who shared a name with a person who is in Harry Potter, not to mention the fact that they're both from the Marauders Era. Anyways, I'm aware that's a silly reason for her to be my favorite, but I stand by it! Not to worry; all of my villagers are just fine, I'm sure we'll all be good friends. Moving on... which of your starters, from any New Leaf town, for whatever reason(s)... is your favorite? Perhaps you have multiple? Do tell!

Carmen the peppy rabbit because she is very nice also bc she was a starter and she was my friend but she moved away a little while back

I think I would have to go with Hugh and Mint because they are still in my main town after 2 years and I don't plan on ever letting them leave. I fell in love with them and decided they would be permanent villagers. I guess if I had to pick just one, I'd go with Hugh, but only because the snooty personality isn't what it used to be so sometimes Mint feels a little bland.
Hamlet definitely. I think hamlet is so underrated it’s unreal. He is the cutest, sweetest little dud ever. I’ve had merengue as a starter too and hamlet still beats her lol. When I saw merengue I was more excited because she’s popular and cute and her personality is kind and considerate but when I got to know hamlet I fell in love with him and hence he’s probably one of my favourite starters if not, my favourite

Can't decide between Chief and Keaton who were both starters in my old town. I loved them so much they became dreamies for my new town!!
Wolfgang was one of my favourite starters in my Wild World town - the only other animal crossing game that I got properly into, for some reason. I managed to pick him up in NH the other week so I'm really happy.
I'm certain he was a LOT meaner to me in Wild World though. Now he's like a mellowed out old man.

My first New Leaf town had Moe as one of the starters and he has been my favourite villager since. So I guess he is my favourite starter I've had even though he was my first villager and I didn't know any others other than my starters. Since then I learnt about more villagers and I'd say that some starters I've been happy to see are stitches, beau, erik and ankha. (not all in one go). They aren't my favourite villagers but they are popular and I felt quite lucky to have them
definitely kabuki!! at first i was like "why does this cat have red stripes" but his design grew on me pretty fast because he's such a charming neighbor ahuhuhu cranky villagers are so cute? like grumpy dudes with hearts of gold the lot of them but since kabuki was my very first cranky villager i'm really fond of him and i don't think i'll ever let him leave he's just so great man

felicity was one of the starter villagers in my first town. i got really attached to her, however, one day i decided to time travel and she moved out without letting me know. i was super sad to see her go, as she was (and is!) my favorite.

It’s a tie between Bluebear and Wolfgang for me. They were both starters in my first town. Wolfgang unfortunately moved away after a time-travelling accident, but Bluebear is still there and standing strong!
All is well though since I now have Wolfgang in my second town that I started two weeks ago. Not sure if I want to keep him there or move him back into my first town again after I’ve cycled through enough villagers. I find that a bit tedious, though, so I’ll probably just keep him in my second town. Either way, he’s found a home with me.

Genji. He's also the only starter that I kept. Honestly none of my starters were THAT bad but I had to let them go. Genji really left me some type of impression it must have been his overall design. Because of this I had to bring him over to new horizons.

I got Peanut as one of my starting villagers! I was resetting over and over to try and get some cute characters. I saw Peanut the Squirrel, talked to her, and immediately fell in love. With her cutesy personality, it would have been horrible for me to reset. A week later another villager moved in. (I time travel to make my ugly villagers move out.) I walked into their house to meet them, ready for an ugly villager, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see another squirrel, Sally. (If my town becomes all cute squirrels... I wouldn't be mad.)
