Who inspires you the most?

Why not try to be like Bill Gates who actually does something for the world. The amount of charity and humanitarian work he does is astounding. He is constantly trying to do things like create better toilets that use less water, better condoms, and stopping Malaria. The difference in donation and charity work between these two is disgusting. Steve Jobs was a greedy *******, Bill Gates is trying to improve the world.

Bill gates is someone previously that inspired me too, so maybe I could be a combination of the two. And I only like the one thing about Jobs previously stated. Otherwise I don't give a crap about him.

Are you talking about Harvey Milk? If so, I found it very interesting to learn about him. I've seen a documentary about him, as well as that biopic they made about him, which is one of my all-time favourite movies.

Lol no, talking about Martin Luther King.

Ah, it seemed a little confusing because oh the appearance of the text, it somewhat fooled my eyes.

And Martin Luther King is a good figure to be inspired by.

Oh, since I'm really into film, I should also say that film critics Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert really inspire me. Though I don't always agree with them, I still find that they are some of the best critics who ever lived. (unlike that fedor8 guy, whom I just can't stand)

I usually try to avoid having "role models", but if I had to name someone who inspired me, it would be Anna Graceman. She does music and she loves it. She aims for her dreams and achieves them. ^^

People who have that sort of mindset inspire me as well.

Why do you try to avoid having role models anyway?

(I still feel inspired by Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, possibly two of the best film critics who ever lived, though I don't always agree with what they say about a specific film. They're better than most film critics today, or that wannabe fedor8)

My dad always used to say "don't look up to people - If you try to do many things like they do, you will be disappointed. If you just watch from the distance, you will be disappointed anyway". I guess he really meant that if we try to do things like our 'idols' we will be disappointed when we can't achieve what they do, and that they will eventually do something bad and we will be disappointed in them. ^^; it's hard to explain, and maybe it has to do with my dad's words, but I have never had the need to have role models.

My friend inspires me most. He's successful in his chosen field, so I'm not going to tell you his name.

I admired his work from afar for many years before I met him in person. He has inspired me as a writer and filmmaker since I first began to pursue the fields at age 14. A year after I first met him, a stroke of luck led to me getting to spend some time with him one on one and it was lovely. Now we're friends, yet he still inspires me. The best thing is not only is he the person who inspires my work, he's now also the person who encourages my work. When I felt a little worried about my current project -- I was scared I couldn't pull together a crew/cast for it because it's a little 'out there' -- I texted him and told him about it and he 100% supported my idea. At the same time, he tells me about his work before his audience finds out. It's amazing to, as an adult, have this sort of connection with the person whose work inspired me most as a teenager.
