don't forget all us little people when you make it big
I really admire what Charles Darwin did for science in his time.... he stood up and opposed the titan of religion and religion based science at the time to fight for what he thought was true. and he did it subtly in his On the Origin of Species. He paved the way for more scientists to stand up and post their findings, and inspired others to follow their scientific calling rather than just lay down for society's status quo. He never really set out to prove natural selection and his theory of evolution but really to just point out how flawed creationism actually is and offer up a different idea. (I'm sorry posting about such controversial topics, and I will not get into a cyber battle over this if someone posts rude comments back)
I wish I would have the means and know-how to oppose all I believe is wrong and what I believe in. Currently I am pursuing the career in science I am passionate about despite what the negative people in my life say and keep prodding me to look at other options. And I wish I could do it so calmly, subtly, cool-like, and as composed as he did it with his book and research.
