I think Im in the minority, but my campsite is right in the middle of my island, across the river behind my Resident Services. I love seeing the campsite occupied, especially at night. So whenever it‘s available (which is most of the time), I invite one of my amiibo card villagers.

. The added benefit is they might ask for a diy you don’t have yet. For me, it just gives the island a warmer vibe to have the campsite active.

Oh, we use the same flower patterns in the same way on our stone path!

And... yep, I like to keep my campsite occupied too. I have a bunch of amiibos. But recently I got too many DIYs, so I stopped doing it until I get the energy to give them away... So it's been empty for a week or two, and I got a few random campers. I think the tent looks really cute occupied, and I like the light at night. It's sad to me to see it always empty!

According to this, scanning amiibo makes it so that you don't get random campers.

If all you care about is having the tent there, then there's no reason not to scan amiibo every day. But if you're hoping for random ones, you won't get any until you stop scanning amiibo for at least a couple days.

I scan an amiibo every day, myself. I'm trying to get some specific DIY's.

I agree, the campsite is sad looking when it’s empty so much. If I had it out of sight somewhere, I probably wouldn’t mind as much. Yes, I love that flower border pattern. I love using the default game clover pattern as well.

I used to keep scanning amiibo to get more DIYs, but now that I have most of them I keep it empty so I'm more likely to run into random villagers

That‘s good to know. Thanks! I’m good with my Villagers for now, so I don’t miss the occasional random visitor.

Yep, I scan an amiibo every day too for the missing DIYs. When I'm done with all of those, then it will be fun to get mystery visitors

I prefer how the campsite looks when someones visiting too, I was constantly inviting villagers with amiibo cards until I realized I never got random visitors. I keep it empty now for the random visitors.
