Who else can't be bothered with Bug Off?

My not liking of the Insect set coupled with the fact that it's luck-based just makes me dislike it. If I want the set, I'll just buy it from someone.

I hate the bug catching and fish catching events honestly. The villagers barely talk to you and want anything from you.

same. i havent participated in either event since i got my trophies like a year ago. i just dont play those days.

In it for the shiny trophies, after that, maybe just turn in something random for fun.

i tt'd to the 21st a few days ago (this was my first experience with the bug-off in new leaf since i purchased my copy during the winter) and god, it's so boring. there is no way i'd be bothering with it if i didn't want a few things in the insect set.

I'm usually really lazy about fishing and bug off, but I think I'll participate this time!

I have yet to participate since my game is behind a couple weeks and I got New Leaf for Christmas, but I can foresee myself growing bored of it after the first few events, same as it was with fishing.

If it wasn't for the fact that I have yet to get all the exclusive items, I wouldn't even bother at all. All those gold bug and fish trophies really clog up your inventory after a while.

It would be interesting if the villagers scored higher, though. Then there would be more of a competition aspect to it.

It's so cute when the villagers participate ahaha. I'll probably try to catch a few bugs for the furniture sets since it's my first bug off

Me. I don't really care about that bug event since I can win it really easily if I want to. I can just go to the island the night before to get the giant stag or golden stag or whatever rare stags and win it. That was what I did last time

Nope, not bothering. I did participate in a few fishing tourneys before I started to get bored with it so I figured the same would happen with the Bug-Off.
