Originality is pretty important to most people, and a lot won't buy a villager that isn't original. Anyways, I've seen villagers like Marshal or Fang go unnoticed and unsold a couple of times too.

Most people don't notice when a villager they want is for sale and miss it, it always seems to be the wrong place and time tbh, that's what I've noticed. There have been quite a few tier 1 and 2 villagers that have been voided. ><
