In my town, my paths are all surrounded by flowers on both sides. Most of the time, it's all a bunch of random flowers along the path, but should I change it a bit? I was thinking of every area having all of one type of flower like all roses on one part of town, and all pansies on another, and so on. I'm worried about that looking too boring, though. Which would look better, do you think?
My town is exactly the same, every path is lined with random flowers. I want them to be organized but I tried once and it took FOREVER so I'm slowly doing it over time.
That's what I thought too. It might be kind of boring when everything's the same.

That really sounds like a nice town! I think I may have seen videos of said town on YouTube, but I'm not one hundred percent sure.
Maybe since I'm still having trouble getting hybrids to bloom, I'll stick with the mixed style for now, and maybe for special places(especially since my house is surrounded by roses) I'll get a hybrid pattern going. Hopefully that doesn't end up too weird looking.
My paths are currently lined with random flowers, but I'm slowly replacing them with bushes. Once that's done, I'll have a few fields where I'll grow each type of flower on its own.
I like the randomness, but I can also see where using specific colors/breeds would be amazing, too. I think it's a personal preference.
The only effort I've put into pathing is laying down flowers in patterns that would create hybrids. I don't put down patterns. It just gives me a path to focus my walking on so I don't have to worry as much about the grass deterioration problem. My pattern slots are strictly only for clothing designs.
I've lined my paths with random flowers. Personally, I like the randomness but I've seen really beautiful towns who group their flowers by color, species, or color and species. Either way, I think flowers make a town look better.
Personally, I find flowers organized by color more appealing than those organized by species. You get a more "random" look but the coordination is very cohesive.
