I don't hate villagers. I voted Raymond, though. I don't hate him, I just don't understand what makes him popular. That being said, the only anteater I truly like is Olaf, and that's because he and I share the same Birthday.
That's a pretty weird selection lol. I voted for Judy but I don't hate her. Her eyes are really creepy, but that's it. I would've chosen the "any anteater" option, but I really like Antonio, so it's not ANY anteater anymore lol.

Anteaters are pretty bad.....but my vote is for Zucker. Octopus shouldn’t be land animals. That’s just weird.

I chose any anteater. I dislike most of the anteaters but I do actually like Olaf 
I actually don't hate any of the villagers. Except maybe for Olaf. He moved right onto the middle of my flower garden in NL (rip), and just refused to move! I picked the last option because of him, but I think the anteaters are fine in general~
Really stacking the vote against anteaters, there, with all the god-tier villagers vs. an entire unloved species.
I truly don’t like Judy or Raymond just because they don’t seem very visually consistent with most others, and I don’t like that Zucker looks like food. But my least favorite of all is Monique—her design is just too human!
All the excessively human villagers (Tiffany, Hippeaux, Penelope, Rilla, etc.) are the only ones I truly dislike, along with all the Sanrio villagers, just because they all seem a bit “uncanny valley.” Those Splatoon squirrels don’t look like villagers at all!

I want to like Judy, but I just can't. Idk what it is about her, but I just find her kind of ugly. There are so many better cubs and better snooty villagers and I just don't understand the appeal! But I respect people who like her!

Not a fan of the anteaters at all. I've had Antonio before who was fairly cool, but even then there are literally 70 villagers I'd rather have than him, sadly.
I wouldn't say I "hate" them, but the anteaters kind of take the cake from that list. But if you included Hippos as a whole, they would certainly have gotten the vote for them. I just can't find the appeal for them - I know you mentioned Rocco, but I feel like the anteaters collectively are more awful than him. 
I like him. He reminds me of a chess piece.
