Which Villager Accidentally Became a Dreamie of Yours?

Punchy definitely, I got him as my first lazy and was like ‘he’ll do for now’ and then a month on an I am so attached to him I moved his house next to mine and let him call me ‘wonder bud’ (first time I’ve let them choose my nickname!), now Marshal has joined in but I’m like ‘I’m not sure you’ve earned that right Marshal’. I’m going to move Punchy out and back in so he has his own furniture but even that feels painful. Love that cat so much now.

Also Dom, had seen him in the prelaunch stuff, wasn’t at all interested, never liked a sheep before. Got him while I was resetting and fell in love but had to leave him behind. Managed to trade for him in the end and I love him, definitely my resident Jock for life.

i initially didnt really like raymond because of all the maid stuff and the way people portray him and his gijinkas crept me out. i saw him at my friends island, thought he looks goofy (in a good way) and ended up getting him for myself and now i think hes very adorable for me i like imagining him as a kid playing pretend businessman, because hes just so goofy to me, it makes him endearing

I loved Raymond’s design but all the hype put me off him. Got him but was sceptical and I think he’s pretty great. I like to give him more casual clothes which he’ll only wear for a while but it makes him look more laid back. I love you

I don't have dream villagers. I have grown unexpectedly attached to one of my starter villager's, Goose, though.

It was Chief for me! I found him during an island tour and he’s been my favorite since! He kept talking about being an old man or that he’s tired a lot since he’s older and he’s really kind and it was a natural progression to becoming attached to him lol! I love his general attitude of “I’m old and some things are not for me and that’s okay.”

Also he keeps wearing the business suit I gave him and he looks like a handsome professional!

Back in New Leaf Robin was a pretty unexpected dreamie for me. She was a random move-in while I was time traveling for clovers and after I stopped she was surorisingly still there.

She has such an unique design for a snooty, I loved her colors and her more masculine face gives a new edge to the whole personality. I ended up letting her leave because I wanted to the clear the spot her house was but I regretted it so much I spent the next couple of months cycling through other villagers so I could get her back!

Deirdre, one of my starter, she's protective and sweet but still unapologetic and straightforward, didn't expect to love her this much.

I remember in new leaf I always wanted an octopus but I never really thought of them as dreamies until one day I bought Zucker for quite cheap of an auction. After a while of having him in my town I slowly fell in love with him AND I never quite realised how small and cute the octopi were! I thought they were big but they weren’t. The cuteness of Zucker + the lazy personality+ the fact he’s a unique villager= falling in love with him lol. Zucker is my accidental dreamie and I love it

In New Leaf, I would say Graham. During one of my replaythroughs in 2016, I got on one day to found a villager had plotted their house right next to mine. I was furious over this, because I like having my house be secluded.

I eventually got to see the inside of his house, and it was very appealing to me personally. So he became a favorite of mine. I got an Amiibo for him and he now lives on my Island.


In New Horizons, I think I've grown attached to Al, who was a forced Lazy villager.

In Wild World, Jeremiah came to my town and at first I really hated him. I'm usually the type of person who likes natural-looking designs, ones that really look like the species they're supposed to be, so when I saw that bright blue frog with his strange mouth and horizontal-slits for eyes I really didn't like him.

I always wanted him to leave, but he never wanted to move out and so he grew on me. I fell in love with his adorable personality and came to really like his design. Now I think his color just makes him stand out, and his eyes and mouth are just one more little unique, adorable thing about him. He's been one of my dreamies in every game I've played since.

The first time I encountered him was in New Leaf, and I was so irritated at having him move in because he was such an unpopular villager. Then he moved in and he turned out to be the biggest sweetheart and actually keeps his house classy, which I like. He very soon became my closest friend in that save file, and now whenever I start a new town he has to be in it.

Erik! I just resetted after a month of playing, he was my lazy. Think I even prefered him over my other lazy dreamie Beau.

Fun fact- horizontal slits for eyes is actually a stylization of how some frogs' eyes are. Some frogs have horizontal-looking pupils.

In New Leaf it was Canberra. I know a lot of people aren't fond or really don't care about her, but she became one of my favorites that I had.
So far in New Horizons Apple has snuck her way into mine and my boyfriend's hearts... She's too cute!

I've don't think I've ever seen anyone else call her a dreamie before, but... pate. I don't even remember how it happened, because I never had her in any previous games so it's not like it's a sentimental attachment. I won't lie, I'm pretty shallow when it comes to my villager preferences (lol), and many of my dreamies are really popular like fauna, audie, etc. but I saw her one day and omg... I just find her SO adorable. also, I saw an old profile from the e-reader card for her and it said something along the lines of "many think she's always concerned because of her eyebrows. she's not concerned, she's just worried that everyone is happy" and guys. I've never been more endeared to a villager in my life.

also, dom. I hate jocks to the point I was planning on not having one on my island at all, but I randomly found him on an island and took him for the fun of it, and I'm now absolutely in love with him. I think it's because jock personalities seem so goofy to me (can you imagine if you knew someone irl that talked about muscles or working out for EVERY conversation? every. single. one?), but he looks goofy too so I just find it cute.
