Nearly always use a bike. I really hate when Nintendo forces you to use a Kart because I can't control them well anymore...

Except in battle, I use Luigi on Standard Kart because it has better drift and speed stats aren't as important.

I use Toadette on the Magikruiser. I also will sometimes use the Flamerunner. I usually change up the character to someone who you dont see very often. Wario, Bowser, DK are my 3 main ones when on the Flame Runner.

If on a kart I am usually using the mini beast. Character varies. Usually koopa or dry bones
