I'm having trouble deciding what I like best- or at least, what looks and matches best for my winter-themed town. I know I want my main path to be bricks, but I'd like a little tiled path as well for tight spaces/little walk-ways. I have two options, a dark brown stone and a gray cracked stone. I think I might be leaning towards the gray, because I like the contrast, but I feel the brick path is too light colored in comparison. So maybe if I make my own path and have it a darker shade of those reddish-brown tones?

Unfortunately the gray stone I found on Pinterest and there wasn't a link to source it's direct maker. It just sends me to this blog. I'm sure the QR here would have a source, but I couldn't find the tile in my brief search. http://ablesistah.tumblr.com/page/3

I agree that if you make a darker brick with a winter trim it would look really good! I like them both to be honest.. but the brick does match best!

I think I might try making my own, because I really do like the gray stones. And they came with a second version where the cracks are spaced differently, so I think alternating between the two would look lovely~

Out of those two I think the grey is nicer - I really like it!

If you could make another one that might be a good idea too!!

I'm gonna stick with the gray for sure, I think! But I will try to make a new brick path of my own c:

Thanks for your opinions! I feel better knowing the gray looks alright~ I don't trust my own sense of colors lol

i think the brown one matches the best, but maybe you should try to find one that had some snow on it too? :D

I think the brick and grey path looks lovely! I am a big big fan of paths myself for my town, and I like to change mine every season. im sure whatever path you choose, your town will look great :)

I like the grey, it's a nice contrast from the brown. I think it'd be too brown if both paths are the same shade of brown. Maybe a new path a darker or lighter brown would look nice :)

Thanks again for all the thoughts!
I decided to try making my own (at least then I can change the colors) even though I'm not very experienced or good at making paths. At least none like the brick path I was using xD

I don't remember who the original creator of this pattern was, but I remember being obsessed with it when I played City Folk. So someone had posted like, guides for how to make it and I had the images saved for ages. I've never actually used it, but figured I could give it a shot lol

I definitely prefer the darker tones. I don't know if i'll keep these exact colors, I feel like they might need something different or a little more in there for depth, but for now I'm just trying to get something basic down. When I'm satisfied I'll try to add some snow c: Tips or thoughts are always appreciated!

In retrospect, I feel like maybe I should have the bricks turned depending on which direction the path is going? Like the way they are right now would be for paths running up and down, but for horizontal paths maybe they should be turned to face the same way?

I think your red path would look great as a dark blue or gray. Red might suit it for Christmas imo. Other than that, it looks great!

As for the other two paths you first posted, I think the gray looks more coordinated. I think the brown would look wonderful for autumn, though.
